What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - WOYWW 270

Good Morning WOYWWers, Followers and Visitors,

Okay, no messing around today, this is what's on my desk this morning.
Well, part of it! A mish-mash of stuff that has landed on the craft mat in the last 24 hours or so. Top left, the book I'm currently reading, aptly named ... dangerous reading it is, making me want to read all those books I've long promised myself I would but never gotten around to :( Underneath is my Smash book ... I referred to it for something thereby proving it's worth at last! Next to that are my new toys, a Stampendous Creative Palette - as far as I can make out it's use is similar to that of the Gelli plate, but different. Beside it is a few of the materials I've gathered together to use with the palette. I blame the EM for this purchase ... he encouraged me and even toddled off to B&Q to find a plaster spreader - used to create patterns on the palette - ditto the plastic forks, bottle top and broken comb!

Then there's Michael Bublé, in his younger days. Sorting through our CD collection the EM discovered we had two copies so this one is now mine :) To the right, resting on my trusty guillotine, is a scrap of very girly wrapping paper, left over but too pretty to toss ... still thinking what to do with it. Underneath that just couple of packages ready to go to the post office.

Finally, a pack of photos from Photobox, one of the packs seen on my desk last week. Our lovely Jan, LLJ, asked where the photo on the front was taken ... and the answer is I don't know. I've checked the back and inside the packet, there's no information there. Turning every stone, I've even had a look on to the Photobox site but, again, nothing ... you'd think, wouldn't you, that they would give credit where credit is due on a site that specialises in printing photographs??? So, sorry, Jan, we still don't know where the pic was taken, but it does look lovely.

And in the interest of a full and frank revelation here's the other side of the craft mat. It's a scrapbooking kit I've put together all by myself in the hope that it will speed up the process of putting pages together. I'm the slowest page maker on the planet but with the number of photos I want to scrap, and there's hundreds of them, I have to find a way to speed up, hopefully this will help.

So there you have it, the awful truth that is my desk today! Now it's you turn to show all ... as a confirmed stash voyeur I need my weekly fix of desks ... so be sure to hop along to Julia's Stamping Ground and join in the fun. Hope to see you there :)

Apologies to the folks I didn't visit last week. No decent excuse to offer, no broken arm, no illness leaving me on death's door, nothing of note, just busy, busy, busy! My daughter, son, grandson, niece and several friends all have birthdays this month ... I have to steal myself to eat an awful lot of birthday cake in August ... it's a hard life :) :) :)

Anyway, I promise to do better this week. Have a great WOYWW.

Happy Crafting,

I had some of that girly paper too. I wonder if I still have some bits hidden away. Strange but true.
Seems quite a few of us are reading - due to the weather I think - why does sunshine make us read more avidly?
Am looking forward to some samples of what you do with that Palette and whether it is similar to the Gelli Plate (which I never succumbed to buying) - maybe you will tempt me to try this one.
have a lovely week

Ah, Boobles (as I call him) I may just have to play my CD's today too.
I find putting scrap kits together really helps me to be more productive. It also reminds me of stash that I have forgotten about, which is always nice :)
Happy Wednesday

LOL! You may just be the first WOYWWer who actually has their number right this week! Mr Linky is having a laugh at us all I'm sure. I'll be VERY interested in what you produce with the Creative Palette...I never got much worth saving with PAINT but pigment ink seemed to work better. Hoping to see some sharing soon.... :)

Happy WOYWW!

I haven't succumbed to a Gelli plate yet either :) Lovely camera stamp I spy there!
Thanks for stopping by too. BTW, you are certainly not alone in thinking it's all sunshine and summer here :) More snow is predicted for this weekend :) (Not where I live, of course, but in the snowfields, about 6 hours drive away.) Enjoy your summer :)

That was a fun read, Elizabeth! You have lots going on. I think your kit idea is a brilliant one and it's bound to help move the process along. And I think that uncredited photo is ridiculous; you to shake your head at how some people think (or don't!). Happy Belated WOYWW and have a great week! Enjoy that cake!! Hugs, Darnell #18
