A Bunch of Magnetic Bookmarks

Good evening to you all,

I hope you have all had a better day than we have had here. It's poured down most of the day but the sun did sneak a look in later this afternoon which cheered us up no end.

A quick post, this one. The EM put in a request for a bookmark recently and whilst hunting round for ideas
when I spotted the lovely Di's at Pixie's Crafty Workshop magnetic bookmarks - you can see them here .

When I was thinking of how I could decorate the bookmarks and was sifting through my box of tiny stamps I decided I would take the opportunity to play with some of the many tiny stamps, the new ink pads and even some of the embossing powders that I had stashed away. So here they are, most sponged with Tim Holtz's distress ink pads or Big & Juicy pads and stamped up with stamps that were small enough to fit, many of them freebies from Craft Stamper but there are stamps from Crafty Individuals, Lavinia, Claritystamps, Stampin' Up, Tim Holtz, Nellie Snellen and even a couple of wood-mounted from Hobby Art - the 'Alan' and the aeroplane. The lovley pink embossing powder was a find at the SECC Glasgow  show (sorry no name on the jar and I can't remember on which stand I found it ) and the green one is a Sheena Douglass WOW powder. I won't list all the materials used for this - the list would be far too long - but I'd be happy to answer any queries.

The eagle-eyed amongst you will see that there are eleven bookmarks - I did make a dozen but the EM has already laid claim to the twelfth  - he's quality testing the product, of course :) Many thanks to Di for the gift of some of the magnets to try out - they are very easy to apply and work perfectly - hugs to you, you're a star!

That's it folks, happy crafting,

Golly, he can have a new bookmark for every month of the year! These are splendid...such lovely colours and you have used one of my favourite stamps (Umbrella Man as I like to call it). It is probably a bad sign that I can identify the stamps and which is which as it means I am well and truly addicted to crafting! Glad to hear you are also a lover of the Craft Stamper magazine.....mine are always dog eared and have post-it notes hanging out of them so I know what I want to buy next......the list is endless! I have just bought a US Stamper magazine on EBay which looked very similar in style....I will let you know what it is like when it arrives.
Love

These are just great Elizabeth - all so different and a great way to try out lots of stash! And perhaps more useful than tags? Had a smile about the EM snaffling one right away to test drive :)) Di x

Great bookmarks and as Di says probably more useful than tags. Not sure why you need the bookmarks to be magnetic though. I have seen them in the shops but never quite understood why. My booksmarks are always in books so never find there way to anything magnetic. LOL.

After just having made 30 bookmarks, Elizabeth and struggling with what to put on them I am now filled with new ideas. These look fantastic. I love the Umbrella Man too and think I will have to make myself one of those. The cat is gorgeous too. I'm off to investigate that link now to find out more.
It's been dull and cool here but very little rain and we could desperately do with it, the garden is so dry.
Hugs Lisax

These are lovely. And I see you've already used the freebie from this month's Craft Stamper magazine- I'm impressed! I only got my copy of it today!

Popped over here from Di's place, btw.
