Hi Everyone,

I'm back ... couldn't skip another week of WOYWW. I had withdrawal symptoms after missing last week but I was just too overwhelmed with stuff ... life and all that ... that I knew it wouldn't be fair to you all. This week promises to be much less frantic so, whilst I can't promise to visit each and every WOYWWer, I will pop over to as many as I can.

What's WOYWW - it's the week's biggest and most enjoyable blog hop arranged, as ever, by the wonderful Julia Dunnit over at the Stamping Ground. If you've never tried it, you don't know what you're missing :)

Here's my desk today ... well, actually, last thing last night, so trust me it hasn't changed at all.

I've been sifting through the photographs we had printed yesterday ... looking for a half-decent one of me, good enough to put in a scrap layout for a challenge. The choice is very thin :( I'm the one that's usually behind the camera!

The bun tray is an idea I've pinched from Shimmelle ... saw her using it in a couple of videos recently - click this link to view one. Having a small selection of tiny embellishments nice and handy saves an awful lot of clutter, not to mention the effort involved in getting up and down every time I need to find some buttons, brads, card candi, etc. It's also encouraged me to use some of those small lengths of leftover ribbon, lace and twine I've been saving forever. I'll simply replenish items as and when required. It has already proved very useful when making the gift tags that are piled on top of our address book ... another absolute essential at this time of the year.

That's it for today ... keeping it brief because none of us has time to read reams just now ... too many other things to do in the run up to Christmas. That being so, I hope you all take care, have a lovely WOYWW and a good week ahead.

Happy Crafting,

the use of the bun tin is great, but I would be forever knocking it over and making a mess...but then you are neat and I am not!! Happy WOYWW, Helen 4

Lovely to see you back, Elizabeth. I'm glad your week is being a bit less frantic. It's that time of year isn't it??
You sound like me, always behind the camera. I hate having my photo taken!! I can spot some beautiful piccies of you though on your desk.
Love the bun tray idea.
Have fun with your LO and Happy WOYWW

Love the idea of the bun tray and it looks so appealing but knowing me, I'd probably knock it off my desk and have a mammoth task clearing up. I always make sure I have a lid on tiny bits between use so I use sectioned flat lidded boxes. I also have a handy carousel with lots of little clear containers for a good range of trimmings at hand.
Stay warm and well..

Great idea for the bun tray, mine is gathering dust in the drawer - swear it hasn't been used for over 10 years.
Hope you have a quieter week this week Elizabeth, it's a hectic time of year.

Like you, I can never find a decent photograph of me as I am always the one behind the camera...more recently though Alex (aged 5) has taken control of the camera leading to some rather entertaining (and not always flattering) photos of me. A step in the right direction? Hmmm not sure! Thanks for sharing. Caro x #46

I was missing for a while too and really missed everyone, nice to have you back. That is a great about the bun tin, a good way to ensure that bits are used up, might have to try that one out. Thanks for your visit earlier. Hugs, Anne x #21

Ooh, a bun tin... I've been using a paint pallette but it fills up rather quickly as the wells are quite shallow. I may have to nick a bun tin from the kitchen - I wonder if anyone would notice?!

A good idea for the bun tin - just make sure to remove all the embellishments before making the buns!

Well, there's a clever idea, using a bun tray like that. Ha, now I need to clear enough room to keep one handy - but I'll be trying this hint out too! Hugs, Di xx

I can't believe you cannot find a nice picture of you to use. The one on the top left with your profile is so pretty.
Busy desk, and a good idea with the bun tray but I don't think I have room for one on my desk, and that is when it is tidy as the space is diminishing with all the stuff I have.
Take care - Hugs, Neet xx 2
