Post National Scrapbooking Day ...

... finished at last, the page I started on Saturday!

The layout is one I've used before, it's simple and I like it. So why did it take me so long to finish it? Apart, that is, from the one super sunny day that took me off gallivanting to the Camera Obscura in Dumfries? Well, it was the embellishment clusters - I struggled to find items that I thought appropriate ... but got there in the end.

The journaling was no problem though. This was such a special time for both my mother and me - it was two weeks spent in each other's company, just the two of us, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience :) The journaling reads:

This lovely photo of my mother taking photos in Boston's market hall is very special. The year before it was taken mum had her second heart attack and it was doubtful she would be allowed to travel. However, her doctor decided she was fit enough to fly to the US. At 69 she left the UK for the first time and joined me in the US for the holiday of a lifetime. She loved the whole experience. EW.
At Faneuil Hall & Quincy Market, Boston, Massachusetts, USA, May 1996.

As for the title, I was stuck there too, for a while. But, recently, whilst blog hopping, I discovered an acronym that puzzled me - AMWC. Now, I've got to grips with SAHM ... that's Stay At Home Mom ... but this one threw me so I turned to Google for illumination and discovered it stands for Mom With a Camera. Bingo, I had my title :)) Except, of course, that here in Scotland it's mum, not mom.

Materials are from Bazzill Basics, American Crafts Dear Lizzy, Crate Paper, Pebbles, Amy Tangerine, Design Works' Inspirations, Papermania, Jillibean Soup, and Adornit.

I haven't listed every item, it's a huge list, so if there is anything you specifically would like information about, please feel free to contact me - I will be happy to provide more information.

I have an appointment with the dental hygienist in an hour ... deep joy. How I hate having my mouth prodded!

Hope you are all having a good day ... even if the sun is refusing to shine :)

Happy crafting,

What a very special LO Elizabeth. The title is perfect, glad you found it, and now I know what MWAC means too. If the sketch is one I like and easy to do I use it over and over too.

Lovely special memories behind this layout Elizabeth .. . my Mum has never left this country .. .. and given the choice would never leave our home town. Even as kids if we went away on a Saturday she was ready to go home by Wednesday!

Hope the dental visit went OK.
