Garden Visit

Hi Everyone,
I've had this Penny Black stamp for too long without using it so decided that it was high time it had an outing ...

... just in time, in fact, to submit a card to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge for April. I can't think why it should be so, but this is my first ever submission to this challenge! The current requirement is to use this sketch:
As you can see, I didn't stray too far from the sketch - just used an oval die instead of a circle for the topper, and only because the oval fitted around the image better than a circle would.

Materials used:
Base - white card base measuring 5¼" x 4¼" (A6)
Cardstock - smooth card in forest green, lime green and white
Inks - Papermania olive green ink cube, Memento Tuxedo Black
Stamp - Penny Black Garden Visit
ProMarkers - Apricot, Blender, Blush, Buttercup, Cinnamon, Dusky Pink, Ginger, Lime Zest,Pear Green, Sandstone, Oatmeal, Pastel Yellow, Vanilla
Tools: X-cut oval die, scallop-edge scissors, Craft Concepts Silver Fern embossing folder
Embellishment - dark green twine

I think that if I get a wriggle on I'll just manage to submit this before the link thingy closes :)

Hope you have all had a great day today. Rumour has it that the sun has been shining in some places ... not so here, it's been a tad chilly, but at least it's not been raining too.

Take care everyone and happy crafting,

Your card is so cute, great job on the sketch challenge. It's rather damp over here too, looks like it will remain that way for the next couple of days. I think Mr. Sunshine packed his bags and went away on vacation! Thanks for visiting my blog, waving hi from the hills of North Carolina ♥
