Sewing Themed Thank You Card

Afternoon Everyone

Been rather preoccupied with the tennis today ... didn't Andy do well :) ... so just a quick share for you.

This card is a variation on one seen in the most recent edition of Docrafts Creativity magazine and it was an easy make.

It's made almost entirely from bits and pieces left after making the mini photo album for my daughter.

The cutting out of the various embellishment and the ruffling of the ribbon was the most time-consuming elements ... and fiddly.

Materials used:
Cream square base card
Papermania's Happy Days 12x12 paper stack
Tim Holtz distress ink, Squeezed Lemonade
Scalloped circle punch
Yellow gingham ribbon, pink button and green/white baker's twine from stash.

I'm still working on my first every Tim Holtz inspired tag ... progress is slow but it's beginning to take shape.

The dinner gong has just gone ... the EM is catering this evening ... so I'd better be off and see what culinary triumph is on offer.

Hope you have all had an enjoyable day.

Happy Crafting,

I had the tennis on the radio as I was driving back from seeing my family all weekend. The commentators were getting so excited but the description of "Murray, forehand, Federer, forehand" meant I found it somewhat hard to visualise!! Love all these sewing-related snippets! I'm quite tempted by this Happy Days pack!

I have barely moved from the lounge today ...iron in front of tv, then hooked into the tennis while doing some net based research and now after a tray supper, the athletics...shameful! love the card, the ruffled ribbon immediately spoke to me...it said 'fiddly'!!!

A beautiful card :o)
BooHoo, I missed all of our medals today, we had a 3.5 hour power cut (fault on the underground cable) and it was during all of our medal events yesterday :o( I did catch up with them later but it's not the same as seeing it live!
