WOYWW - Wednesday 71

Good morning to all,

I've not taken part in WOYWW before - the mess my worktop is usually in I hesitate to show it in public! But here it is:

As you can see I'm working on a cracker shaped card and I've chosen my Tilda stamp for this project. The box in the background is really an egg box, hence the chickens, but when it became redundant in the kitchen I bagged it for keeping bits and bobs that had no real storage place anywhere else. In the red tray is a piece of plastic mesh saved from a pack of plums - I thought it had possibilities but not too sure what yet! To the right of the egg box is a brightly coloured bucket which was a 'poundshop' find - I keep some scissors and my pliers in it.The stuff dangling over the desk are hung from the brackets that are holding up a shelf, just out of shot where I keep all my cardstock, patterned paper, boxes of embroidery floss, ribbons and lace, fibres, adhesives, and a folder for clear stamps, and so much more. Oh, you might just spot the nelliesugar stamps I bought recently - they are there until I have had a play with them:)

That's my desk today.

Season of mellow fruitfulness

I love this time of the year and can't resist going outside and snapping away. We had a trip to Kirkcudbrightshire to visit friends at the weekend and these photos are from their garden - just gorgeous:)

Right, I'm off to finish that cracker card - will show it later when done.

Bye for now
Elizabeth

Love the desk Elizabeth, not at all untidy, you should have nothing to worry about round here! Welcome too btw, love the photos also, especially the purple aster, mine is coming in to flower now it's really late this year due to a very dry August.

That looks like a cosy workspace! You can't convince me at all that you're messy. You shall have to try harder next week! :-) Thanks for commenting on my temporarily very clean workdesk! # 139 who failed to be the last one in the list

You asked how the pasta machine fit in with my crafting - it's not for pasta (LOL) it is for my polymer clay. Can't live without it when doing claywork as it take all the hard work out of conditioning. #142

Hi to all - many thanks stopping by my desk and for all your kind comments - they are very much appreciated. I'm beginning to review my opinion of my desk - after all the comments it's tidier than I think! The cracker card has been posted Pam so take a peek when you have time - I know, I know, that is a rare commodity for us crafters! And the mystery of the pasta machine is resolved - Neet, I just never thought of polymer clay - silly me:)I saw a demonstrator on TV using a rolling pin this morning so I won't ever be surprised at what I see on WOYWW in the future, regards to all, Elizabeth #87

I love your little cupboard, how cute is that. I'm like you - I leave new stamps in my line of vision until I've used them - it sort of extends the treat of buying! You work tidy Elizabeth - you must have been shocked by some our desks! Your garden photos are stunning.

Welcome to WOYWW. It's addictive here, so I know you're going to love it. Lovely flowers in the garden, and that little cupboard is adorable. Never heard of a cracker card before, but that's the fun of WOYWW. You get exposed to so much!

I was actually here earlier, but got that dreaded 503 error. Just came back to wish you a a warm but belated first WOYWW (#2).
