Lunch with a fellow blogger, Rita ... plus I have a book to giveaway

Morning Folks,

Yesterday I had a brilliant day. The lovely Rita, RMG Creations, and I met in person for the first time to have lunch at one of our favourite tearooms in Ayr.

We had a lovely time, chatting nineteen to the dozen, and just got on like a house on fire.

It's our intention to meet up next month and I'm really looking forward to seeing Rita again. The eagle-eyed among you might have spotted the WOYWW badge I'm wearing :)

I've no project to share with you today but I do have this book to giveaway.

Courtney Walsh, the author, is a scrapbooker and cardmaker too, so no surprise then to find that scrapbooking features in this, her first, novel. I read it in super fast time, finding it an enjoyable read, featuring likable characters and an intriguing storyline, that kept me turning the pages to the end. In a nutshell it's a story about friends, brought together by a little town and a scrapbook and with a long held secret at it's core.

Just so you know, this is my own copy, and it's been read, so it's not new but it's still in great condition, and I would love to pass it on. If you would like to read it too all you have to do is leave a comment stating your interested ... or you could contact me by email ... if more than one of you is interested, I'll put names in a hat and draw for it.

It's a perfect day for staying in and pottering in the craft room today ... that is cool, overcast and threatening to rain. The latest from my little garden is that the London Pride is in full flower - very pretty, when it dries up a bit outside I'll pop out with the camera and do a photo shoot.

Hopefully, you are enjoying better weather wherever you are, or at least it's a tad warmer than here ;)

Time for a cuppa, methinks, so take care and ....

Happy Crafting,

Super photos Elizabeth! It's always great to meet up with other bloggers and you sure had a good time from the looks of it :)

I never win a thing, but would love to read the book - if I don't win it's on my wish list :)

Writing up the roll call here - err, two weeks is a lot as you said :)

Such a fun time! And the book sounds lovely, sure would love to read it and of course give it away afterwards too. I love this kind of thing! A book should be read more than one time! :)

Sounds like you had a lovely time! Very intrigued by the book and I would love to receive it! And as the girls suggested above, I would pass it on the same way - it's good to keep the good traditions! Maybe we should start a special book relay - put names on a list and keep passing it on ;))). Have a lovely weekend! xx

Oh, I'm so envious when bloggers get to meet! It's great that you two hit it off so well and plan to continue meeting. That's great!! Yes, I noticed the button, although I couldn't quite make it out.

Hugs,
Kay
