What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - Week 414

Good Morning Everyone,

Another Wednesday and another day to clock on at The Stamping Ground sharing with Julia, our Head Desker, what's on my desk this morning.
The clean up operation is still ongoing so still not a lot of crafting to share. As you can see I've been cutting up a stamp set, Darkroom Door's Bright Blossoms Vol 1 - not an easy job when, as I do, you have problems with your hands. Still, it's done now so I can ink them up later, test them out and maybe even create something. There's a pile of photo albums, each one for a different category of pics. The top one is for general ones, the red one in the middle is for all those photos taken during my sojourn in Massachusetts 1995/96, and the last one contains just a fraction of the last 22 years - since himself and I met. The best years. It's not going to be big enough, of course - I haven't even got to 1997 and it's almost full! There's another six albums out of sight and that's only photo albums, there's a whole bunch of scrapbook albums stacked on a shelf in the dining room. The digital camera has a lot to answer for! Under the pile of albums is another homemade scrap kit waiting to be made up. I did manage to complete the one that was on my desk last week - it's here if you are curious. The stuff at the back is much the same as last week apart from the addition of a box of punches which, because it seems vital, has found a wee corner to stay in - for the time being anyway.

So that's my desk today. Not particularly riveting, but then is it ever? What's going on in my garden now is far more interesting. Here's a photo that fills me with pleasure - hope you like it too.
Apple blossom. Promise of sweet delights to come.

Have a wonderful WOYWW and a great week to come.

I love how we all, as crafting squirrels, tuck away things on shelves or on our desks thinking "I'll find a place for that later"... and that 'place' ends up being exactly where we have temporarily stashed it lol
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Hi Elizabeth, I totally agree, cutting apart stamps on that foam is a nightmare! Love the apple blossom pic, it's beautiful. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #8 XxXx

I must admit that digital cameras have made my life easier. These days all my photos are stored electronically, so take up a lot less space. Look forward to seeing what you create with those Darkroom Door stamps. Sarah #25

Sounds like you're very well organized with your photos. I stopped getting them printed because they were just piling up. But I have thousands - and quite possibly tens of thousands - archived digitally. The apple blossom looks lovely - this time of year is always full of promises. Enjoy your week! zsuzsa #26

I'm getting resentful in my old age - especially with SU!...the price I pay, I don't want to have to cut and mount my new stamps! I can see why the cutting doesn't help your hands, it makes mine ache! I love how many albums you are in charge of, and I too blame digital photography, not least because it makes me feel constantly behind!

That apple blossom is gorgeous! So beautiful to look at. Last evening, G and I walked down to the harbour and spent two hours just watching the sea, birds, RNLI practises, moon rising - so much better than any telly! This explains why there's very little crafting on my desk too..at least you're being productive!

Im playing catch up after my fun morning with little Theo.....he's a real pleasure to look after. He left after lunch and since then I've had to catch up with urgently needed sewing so am rather late joining in today.
As a fellow hand sufferer you have my full sympathy my friend. At least as you say jobs done now. Love the apple blossom.
Hope you have a good week.
Hugs,

I hate cutting stamps, I am always afraid I'll snip into the design.. I agree with Julia, the price we pay, the least they can do is send them ready cut. Love the apple blossom. Helen #2

Vowed after last lot of stamping requiring cutting never again. Although someone did tell me how to mount them but not on foam. But with age comes forgetfulness and yes I have forgot. Anickoana #6

An apple blossom can take center stage if it wants to. Springtime gardens bring so much delight!

Got side tracked so am running late as I was looking up things on Pinterest - ideas for tomorrow when I go to a workshop.
I do not like cutting sheets of stamps up - such a sticky job but worth it in the end. Hope you create something for us all to admire very soon.
Loved the fact that your favourite album is from the last 22 years - congratulations and may you have many many more.
Thanks for your visit to mine
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

That apple blossom is so beautiful. With us, unfortunately, nothing delights, because everything is destroyed by frost.
