What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - Week 591

 Hello Everyone,

Wednesday again and another chance to take a snoopy look at all your crafty desks/tables/floors with the help of Julia, Head Desker, over at the Stamping Ground

And this is what's on my desk today. I had reason ... okay, it's for a scrappy challenge ... to search through my entire stash of 12x12 cardstock and patterned papers yesterday. A mammoth task. I was looking for anything Kraft. There was a time when Kraft was the favoured alternative to black and white scrappy backgrounds but not, it seems, so much today if what I found is anything to go by - just one sheet of cardstock! When it comes to scrapping looks like we're a fickle lot - or is it simply that there's far too much choice available. I know I can't keep up with all the new scrapbooking collections/supplies launched several times a year - not that I'd even try. I digress, back to what's on the desk. During the search I discovered this box of cut-aparts. The victim of one of my many sorting sessions.  Most go back to 2014/2015 but a few are from 2012. So now it's my job to sort through the box and, hopefully, find a use for them on future layouts. A difficult task but someone has to do it.

I thought you might be interested to know what happened to the home made kit and the Heidi Swapp Color Magic Note that was on my desk last week.
This great photo of the EM was taken on holiday in Jersey in 1998 ... a lovely memory of one of the many happy days we had on the island.

And finally, Facebook has been very kindly reminding me daily of the fun times we've had in previous years ... reminding us too of the fun we're missing this year ... and this is today's memory.

I love this photo from the 2017 WOYWW crop of Annie, Jan and Julia concentrating on learning to dumf. Hopefully, we'll all be able to get together again ... some day ... sigh.

That's all for now.

Hi Elizabeth, I've really missed the Crop this year, we'll have a bumper one next time we can! Love the photo of hubby, and the whole layout. It's funny, I've never been into Kraft, just doesn't do it for me, lol. Stay safe, have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6. X

Hi Elizabeth - oh, I hope so!!! I have really missed seeing folks this year. I have only been to 4 crops, but they are SO much fun. One day... That page with the phoo of the EM is beautiful. You do sound, though, as if you are in for a long task of sorting. All the best.
Take care. God bless.

Well, that LO of EM is just wonderful! I love the colours and textures and the photo of the Star is a really happy one too! I agree, it's pointless trying to keep up with crafting fads, it's only decided by people trying to sell more stuff after all - I'm quite frugal with my fabric buying now and only buy something if I know I'm going to get good use out of it. I rarely buy material with patterns that are one direction now as I can't tessellate templates. Lovely pic of me concentrating, lol! I missed seeing all you lovely people so much this year and really hope that we can get together next year.

Hi Elizabeth Happy October, love that scrap page. Something i've never got into just like knitting but we have to save some crafts for other crafter's don't we. I must admit I love Kraft, it goes with many of my vintage pieces i've collected for many years, but brown packaging can be the next best thing hee hee. Happy WoywW, stay safe Tracey #7 xx

Sorry I'm so late with my visits this week. I went with my hubby yesterday doing deliveries for our daughter and her hubby's printing business to London....a long day but always lovely to spend the time together.
Love your LO and what happy memories shared...lets stay hopeful of more to come.
