Friday again! My how the week flies. It's time to join in with Annie's Friday Smiles over on A Stitch In Time.
We took a trip to the EM's favourite fishing village, Portpatrick, on Sunday. It was a cloudy but dry day so the photos aren't the brightest but here's a few taken there and on the drive down the coast.
The following shots are of Portpatrick.
Of course, after such a long drive we found somewhere for a cuppa and bite to eat. We chose the 'Port Pantry' and we had a table in a very cosy wee corner. We had a warming bowl of potato soup with coffee and cake to follow - delicious.
The weather has been unseasonably warm this week and we continue to spot unmistakable signs of Spring in our garden.
And finally, unbelievably, we've been spotting bees buzzing about the place.
So there you are - I've had a lot to smile about this week and I hope you have had an equally good week too.

What a lovely place for a trip out...I can see why you love it.
The flowers and signs of Spring everywhere is really making me smile even though it's a little colder here today.

Probably mentioned that my son lives in Ayr. He's chuffed this year with the weather,usually he rings and has about 4 or 5 layers on its so cold. lol

Gosh, Elizabeth, I'm really late visiting. I got caught up in the last day before a big storm is to hit. Had to stock up on food and other supplies in case I lose power in the next three days. Snow and ice up to 5 inches tonight and more to come after that. I can tell you can't relate, since it's so lovely there.
Your trip looks lovely, but cold, and your stop at the restaurant is lovely.
Of course, the flowers are the best, as are the BEES. So glad to read you have bees. Hope your Friday was great and you have a lovely rest of the weekend.
Portpatrick looks quite chilly but that doesn't stop us from enjoying a day out. I am sure the soup and tea soon warmed you up.

We had a holiday in the area three years ago and we loved Portpatrick. And of course we also had to visit our friends who live near Maybole. Ayreshire is certainly beautiful. Christine
