What's On You Workdesk Wednesday - WOYWW Wk 269

Morning WOYWWers, Followers and Friends,

It's that time of the week again! Time to join our Head Desker, Julia, over at The Stamping Ground, and all my fellow WOYWWers and stash voyeurs - it's buttons over at Julia's today I see - to reveal what's taking up space on our desks this morning.
Not so messy this week :) I had a wee clear up yesterday - well, it needed it :(

I've been trying to concentrate on scrapping recently so there's a couple of plastic folders to the left of the photo containing pretty patterned paper - I'm just debating which to use on the next page. Top centre are several packets of photographs ... the reason I'm trying to scrap more. Centre front is a pile of Gelli plate prints ... once lost but now found - I'm planning what to with them next. To the right, my wee guillotine - love it :) - top right, a right pile of rubbish which needs to be sorted out, binned or made use of but definitely not tossed in a pile and forgotten again!!!

All the other bits and bobs on my desk are weekly regulars, the staples I go to time and time again, except I see there is a roll of Washi tape used yesterday - that needs to go back where it belongs - and just of camera top right, that's the pile of over-sized photographs, also waiting to be scrapped.

Well, I've shown you mine, now it's your turn to show me yours so see you over at The Stamping Ground :)

Happy WOYWW to you,

I'm loving your organisation, little piles work for me too. Looks fab and I hope you are enjoying your scrapping. I'm a little behind with my Project Life but I tend to do 2/3 weeks at a time! Take care Zo xx 43

Thanks for your visit last week, Elizabeth. It certainly was the Retreat to beat all retreats. Those that have been going for several years all agreed it was the best ever, and that was ignoring our Royal visitor. We are also in agreement that none of us have come down to earth yet and are struggling to know what day of the week it is. That little pile of backgrounds look ready to dive into. Lovely. Have a great week. xx Maggie #32

I'm sure you'll figure out what to do with all those gelli papers you created are they easy to write on ? they would make great cards to write what happened that day on for your layouts :)
Have fun with it hugs Nikki 8

Hey, tidy piles are an organization method, of sorts :) Embrace them! I know I really should get back to scrapping seriously but I am struggling to convince the kids that photos of them are a GOOD thing. I feel so out of practice! Will watch your progress looking for inspiration :)

Happy WOYWW!

We really need to use our gelli plate more. It sits in the cupboard forgotten.

Hello Elizabeth, how lovely to meet you and thank you for visiting my blog and making such a kind comment.
I thought I would return the visit and see what you do and so pleased that I have as you have some lovely projects. Your photos of your garden plants are wonderful, obviously you are a keen gardener.
I love Bonnie, what a beautiful girl she is, best wishes Kate x

You've got things in nice piles all ready for the next play date. It is good to be organized so you can jump right in when the mood strikes. Judy #76

Hullo Elizabeth always think its funny when see a guillotine just like mine.. and yours is... amazes me how reliable they are. One of my best investments. Wondering too what you think of the Scottish independence vote?? Was listening to documentary on it the other night and could see both sides. Praying for wisdom for you as a nation. Do have Scottish roots. :) happy WOYWW. Shaz in Oz x#27

Thanks for your visit, Elizabeth. the other thing to remember with the home made ink pads is to put a small piece of card in with it, listing all the colours you have used. that means you can rejuvenate the pad when it starts to dry out. In case you have not already seen it, Barbara's blog here http://barbaragrayblog.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/cut-n-dry-dandelions.html explains how she creates the pad using the ziplock bag and the storage. I reckon it is just great fun to do. xx Maggie #32

Pretty papers and those gelli prints reminded me that I have a few tucked away. I haven't got the plate out for several months :( I go through phases of scrapping and usually wait till I get a load of photos. Do remember to post a pic of the finished pages.
