Morning Everyone,
And it is a lovely morning here in North Ayrshire.
On my desk this morning Silver. She's thinking about going out by that open window but first a few quiet moments watching a magpie perched on the neighbours fence. To the left of her is my next project. I've put together photos and materials for a page I hope to make later today. Homework for Shimelle's class. It's all from old stash, of course. Even the photos are dated 2022! I have unfinished albums from the year of Covid, 2020, up to 2023 so I hope to remedy that this year.January 2025 - Side 1
At the same time I'm working on this year's album and this is the introductory page. I'm not a great fan of pocket pages but they are the best way of beginning each month.

The photos used capture some of what's happened during the month. There will be a few 12"x12" pages following this introduction. I spent a few hours over the weekend sorting through photos taken so far this year trying to decide which to scrap. Decisions! Decisions! Most of yesterday was spent in the garden. My daughter and SIL were round so we stopped to sit and soak up the sun. It wasn't all play though. I did check on my seedlings in the mini greenhouse, which turned out not to be as mini as I hoped. Sorry, I forgot to take a pic to show just how big it is. I also planted out a climber, Clematis Grandiflora Alba.
We had this fabulous one in our last garden. I'm hoping for a similarly stunning display with the one planted yesterday. Perhaps not this year, but in years to come. And finally, a few funnies for this week.
That's me for this week. I hope you all had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend. Just in case you missed it, there's another one in a few weeks time. To see more creative workdesks pop over to Sarah's blog, Sarah's Craft Shed. If you don't already do so, feel free to join in the fun and show us what's on your workdesk this Wednesday. You'll be made most welcome.
Have a fabulous week.
Take care everyone,
Elizabeth

Oh Silver - reminds me of "is my bum big in this?" Cats are so funny, they squeezed into the most amazing places. Imagine a plastic carrier bag that has holes cut in for handles, you know the sort I mean). Well once my Tabs got herself inside it, despite it was on top of a tall cupboard in the kitchen and as I walked past and looked up all I sa were two eyes peering at me through the holes.
Glad you enjoyed your garden time with your daughter and sil. It's time to sit and enjoy the warmth isn't it, made all the better with friends and family.
Hugs, Neet 5 xx
Love the photograph of Silver in the basket! Great funnies too. Happy WOYWW. Angela #11
It’s always so lovely to see you joining in the Wednesday fun. I’m thrilled to hear how you’re enjoying your garden and love seeing what the latest LOs are.

So pleased you're here again. Lots of people are spending time in the garden right now, we have to make the most of it while we can. Silver looks interested with whatever is out there. They are so funny what they can get into is amazing. Hope we get to see the finished page you're making too. Have a good woyww, hugs Angela x10x
Our clematis Montana is a picture at the moment. Once established they take little care and look glorious don't they. Good luck with your garden. Your pages are full of interest and detail. Thanks for sharing them. x Jo 🌈
First up and hearty thank you for telling me about Scrapbooking Day - it was the incentive I needed to so some scrapping. I'm still working chronologically and a year behind now. But yes the decisions on what to print let alone what to scrap are immense. Most of my pages are geocaching!!! I have tried to be a bit stringent and only have a few photos for June 2024 hmmm!!! Gorgeous Clematis btw. Hugs BJ#1
Looks like you are doing a good job of catching up - or starting to! I hope Silver left the magpie alone if she ventured out... Happy WOYWW Helen #2
You made us smile today, it’s lovely to hear you’re enjoying your garden and scrapbooking, Silver is obviously good company too…..how do they squeeze into the tightest spaces, and sit on whatever you’re working on 😂😂😂xxx
Seeing Silver in that basket reminds me of our cat Mizzy who often slept in a wine basket on the dining room window sill when she was tiny. Loving the scrapbook pages Elizabeth. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
Silver is saying “If I fits, I sits!” She’s a cute cat, very pretty even when presenting the back view! That Batgirl LO is going to be fun, I like the metallic dots on the left hand side, you’ll have to show us how it turns out.
We’re off on hols this evening after the boys have finished work, it’s a reasonably quick run over to Cardigan. See you next week for the anniversary, can you believe it’s 16!
Hugs LLJ 4 xx
Hi Elizabeth, Bella was most impressed to hear she had meows from Scotland! I love how Silver squeezed herself into that basket. Your cartoons made me laugh, too, especially the keyboard one.

That final funnie made me smile! Super layouts to start 2025. Happy WOYWW! Susan #15
Hi Elizabeth, just doing a catch up round, and yes all these Bank Holidays, it all seems to come at once. Did nothing here because I wasn't up to organising it. Super layouts, you are good to keep it all up to date. I have had new photos of Lionel for a month, still in the envelope! See you Weds!! Cindyxx
