It's Friday, and I'm late again ... nothing unusual about that, I hear you say ... but it wouldn't be Friday if I didn't join in with Annie, over at A Stitch In Time, and share a couple of things that made me smile this week. Starting with this:
Three hundred hours! So we have still a bit of time until the big day. You'd think so wouldn't you? But look what I found in my local supermarket today:
Cadbury's Creme Eggs!!! A ginormous stand full of them, I kid you not! Time was that they would at least wait until December 26th before they put them on display to tempt cremeggaholics like myself :)
Now, a wee joke for to start the weekend:
A poor guy walks up to the rich guy's house. He's down on his luck and needs some money. He rings the doorbell.
"Hi there, I'm down on my luck, need some money, and I was wondering if you have any work I could do for you?"
The rich Guy decides to give him a break, and says:
"Sure, my porch needs painting. I'll pay you 50 pounds to do it for me."
"Sure thing, Mister, I'll get started right away!"
Time passes, until...
"Hey Mister, I'm all done painting!"
"Well, here's your 50 pounds"
"Thanks, and by the way ...

... it's a Ferrari, not a Porsche."

Haa Haa! Yikes! 300 hours isn't long!
As for the creme eggs, Hubby brought some home the other day and another tradition was smashed...we usually have them in our garage on Christmas Eve!
Good joke!
xx
:-) :-) Made me smile Elizabeth. X
I'm chuckling at your joke....I really didn't see that coming. :-)
Hugs,
Annie x
Hi Elizabeth....I'm shocked with all of your photos today...only 300 hours less now, and eggs already that is so not on, and I just swore a little bit at the end of the joke...oh my goodness. Have a really great weekend Cheers Robyn...I'm smiling though
I absolutely love creme eggs but they must be accompaniesd by a large cup of hot tea.
Thank you for the laugh
Thanks for the smiles!
Hi Elizabeth
Just saw that frightening picture and comment on my dashboard! 300 hours!! That sounds even worse than when you count the days for some reason.
I hope all your Christmas plans are coming along nicely.
I have been looking back over your blog to see what I have been missing .. .. I love those personalised cushions. Very clever and a great idea!
Have a good weekend. I hope the weather isn't too bad with you.
Love Jules xx
Wow...to the eggs, to the 300 hours and your little joke...where does time go? Enjoy the weekend, I'm off to finish up cards.
Bit late for WOYWW but I am glad I was able to pop in - have a giggle and admire all your crafty fun! x Jo
l'm not at all surprised to see these Elizabeth xx
Your joke made me laugh, but the cream eggs in December make me mad. I´m going to enjoy Christmas first! Kate x
