What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - WOYWW Week 390

Hello Everyone,

Well, Blogger has decided to mess with my head again! More changes! I couldn't find a thing this morning. I can't see what was wrong with it as it was but I'm sure the powers that be in Blogger HQ know what they are doing!!!

Enough of that, on to what I'm here to share with Head Desker, Julia at the Stamping Ground, you and the world - what's on my desk today.
Yes, that is a dazzling ray of sunshine you can see lighting up my desk - after the recent below zero spell it's surprisingly warm and bright today - temperature 4°C - pleasantly balmy even. And, yes, it's a right old mess again. I seem to clear up one mess just to create another. Today it's because I'm piecing scraps of fabric together. The backing fabric I have for the quilt I'm making isn't quite wide enough so an insert made from scraps is the answer. And I need to finish it today because I'm off to class in the morning.

However, it's not all been sewing this week. I have managed to make a few Christmas cards - some of which can be seen in earlier posts but here's one that hasn't.
It's possible that you might recognise the topper - it featured in an earlier WOYWW post. That was at the beginning of the month. I left it lying on the corner of my desk waiting for the time and inspiration to do something with it. Finding the time is the real problem ... one I think we all share at this time of year ... it's all go, isn't it. In fact, I'm still reeling from a day of Christmas shopping on Monday, and my feet hurt!!!

Happy WOYWW and have a great week,

They always mess with the Blogger and G+ interface as well - usually with annoying consequences. If it ain't broke, why fix it, hey? Love your blue and white card - clean and simple! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #22

I love all the fabric on your desk... would love to feel it in my fingers - although I am a 'paper girl', I love the texture of different textiles. Happy woyww & love from Holland, Marit #36

Good morning Elizabeth. Your new quilt you are working on loving the fabric choice and how much love goes into each one you make. Yes I had the same problem late last night working on my post as my I pad froze up while toeing and then a little box of info note with the tab GOT IT. Took me ten mins to figure out what was going on and how to get it gone.lol. Loving your card simple and with a sweet snowmen looking back. Snowmen our my weakness as I have one my girls gave me for Christmas when they where really little and and it sits on my desk all year long to enjoy. Cause at Christmas time the rest of them come out to spend the holidays with us and must remember not to buy anymore as my collection is large enough as my daughters tell me. Have a fantastic week. Ooh, I do love that snowman card - I always go for the simple and elegant style, am not keen on the overly fussy. Well done for continuing with the patchwork, it's taking shape!

Hi Elizabeth, looks like you've been busy. Very pretty card. I can relate to clearing and then messing up again, that's the life of a crafter me thinks Lol! Have a great woyww, Angela x 18

It's always a pain when blogger decides to do it's thing when I want to do mine! I also had trouble with my blog, until I said forget it, I'll just come back in the afternoon - by then it was fine. They always have to make a good thing "better" don't they! Just think how much money they would save if they just left it as it is! Your blue snowman card is lovely! Thanks for sharing! Lindart #41

Happy Belated WOYWW. Gorgeous Christmas card. The blue is stunning. I do most of my present shopping throughout the year, so now I need to go through the wardrobe in the spare room where I store it all and match it up to recipients. If there are any gaps, then we do a day of shopping in December - or I go online. Still too much work for me. I am not feeling festive at all this year - 2016 has been such a hard year and we have no family visiting this year, so feeling a bit flat. Ali x #32
