WOYWW Wk 188

Good Morning Everyone,

'Tis I, checking in with Julia over at the Stamping Ground to join in the weekly super blogfest for What's On Your Desk. Time to reveal the mess that is my desk today.

Taken in artificial light - well, what else at this time of the year here in Scotland. Daylight has become something of a fleeting pleasure! The desk's a mess because I've succumbed to one of those nasty viruses that come around in winter just to make it all more depressing than it already is ... yuck!!!

As you can see, I'd been trying to stamp that lovely flourish (one of Dawn Bibby's I think) with Peacock Feathers DI - and not getting the pressure I was hoping for. The stamp set you can see is one of those useful teeny-weeny word sets from Wild Rose Studio.  There's some felt flowers and snowflakes, a roll of butterfly washi tape, some patterned paper that is the negative of the butterflies I die-cut from it and a couple of pieces of a very pretty green paper - not sure what I'm going to do with that yet. There's a circle punch, some twine, my scissors and, up there in the corner, is a pad of Black Soot DI. Oh, and you can just about see some punched letters and hearts in the purple tray - they are the leftovers from a recently completed scrap page which will, no doubt, be revealed at a later date. The last item, on the left, is this month's copy of Craft Stamper and the stamp that came free with it.

And that's about it for me today - nothing exciting. If it's excitement you want, and why wouldn't you, best pop along to the Stamping Ground and check out all the other fabulous contributors' desks - I'm sure you won't be disappointed :)

I'll be back, after I've dosed myself up with paracetamol and tea, to visit as many desks as I can.

In the meantime, I wish you all a very good WOYWW.

Happy crafting,

Oh poor you, Elizabeth, I hope you are feeling better very soon.
I love the huge looking swirl you've been playing with. If you are struggling try putting a padded envelope underneath to give a bit of extra cushioning when you stamp, I find that usually works.
Take care

I do hope you are feeling better soon, nothing worse than staying away from crafting. I hate it when I can't stamp the stamp properly and it keeps mucking up, of course this is stamp error not mine or yours LOL the stamp flourish looks to be a beauty

I hope you are feeling a little better, Elizabeth. Do not worry about being late, I am even later. Your desk is so tidy this week, all ready for more crafting. Thank you for your visit. I have to admit that this is the first time I have made a set of masks before the second they were needed. Usually I am a last minute person. Have a good week. xx Maggie #32

Lovely stamp there and I agree that the one on Craft Stamper is fabulous and have already used it but not posted on my blog yet as I don't want the recipient to see it yet.
Have you tried standing when you stamp? I tend to find that helps especially on the larger stamps!
