Weatherwise it is not such a good one today and given all the bad news there's about at the moment you'd think there would be nothing much to share with Annie, at A Stitch In Time, today. Annie, of course, rarely fails to find a lot to smile about. And here's what's given me reason to smile this week.
First up is this cutie:
April the giraffe to give birth. She went well over her due date and life being what it is I went off to do other things, as you do, so needless to say, I missed it! By the time I caught up he'd finally arrived and isn't he a beauty. I think April and dad, Oliver did well.
And here's Callum, William and Heather's son, up a tree and looking mighty pleased with himself too.
Eglinton Country Park.
Finally, I've been out in the garden a lot of late. There's so much to do at this time of the year.
We've had this trough for many years. It was planted up with phlox but last year the plant's weren't doing so well so the decision was made to clear it out and start again. Here it is newly planted up with violets, primroses, campanula, veronica, saxifrage, pinks and just showing through the foliage of Persian Pearl tulips. I'm loving how pretty it all looks.
Hope you've all had as much to smile about this week and that the weekend will prove to be full of smiles for you too.
