What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - WOYWW Week 403

Hello Deskers, Followers and All,

And I'd like to start by giving a warm welcome to my new follower, Janis, it's lovely to see you here.

It's yet another Wednesday, another WOYWW over at Julia's Stamping Ground, and so another excuse to reveal all!
Rudolph Day is almost upon us once more and guess who has made not a single Christmas card this month, despite it being one of my main aims for this year! Anyway, after a rummage around the craft room I came across this old magazine which includes papers, etc., all on a Christmas theme. I think I might combine the papers with a topper made with the new Penny Black stamp, Winter Berries (top right of photo) just delivered yesterday. The glue gun was lost and now found - not that I need it now so it will be put it away somewhere probably to lose again - sigh. The book hiding under the magazine is Tara Governo's Imperfect Lives which I had reason to look out recently, and it's still out because I haven't put it back on the bookshelf yet. It could still be there next Wednesday!
Not on my workdesk but on the coffee table.  A little lion in bits. It's just waiting to be sewn up - if I can put the book I'm reading, Late Fragments by Kate Gross, down long enough to finish the job.

So that's it for me this week. Not a lot but, hey, there so rarely is!

Do check out the sticky post before this as I have a giveaway going on at the moment.

Take care everyone and have a wonderful WOYWW.

Love the little lion....hope he pulls himself together soon 😀 Please don't be offended that I don't join in with the give away....I'm not a paper crafter and I'm sure it should go to someone who will make better use of it.
Have a good week.
Hugs,

Oh, that little lion is so cute! You have way more patience than me, I've tried making toys but simply am not cut out for it. Too fiddly!! So a triple well done to you because it's going to be gorgeous! I suspect the glue gin may be in a 'safe' place, that's where all my stuff has disappeared too :-D

Happy WOYWW. I recently threw out a load of magazines, but not without rescuing all the papers and toppers from the middle of each one first. I admire people who work on CHristmas cards this early. I can never psych myself up to do it until the end of September! Sarah #23

Hi Elizabeth. That lion is going to be SO cute when he is all sewn together. He's rather gorgeous, isn't he? I like those blue papers. Hope you get your Christmas card made before the deadline - but there again - books which can't be put down...... I take it that you are enjoying it somewhat?!
Take care. God bless.

You are very creative dear friend. I could never make such a lion, although I can both knit and crochet. it is a good plan to be ahead of Christmas cards, time goes so fast and even though we just got over Christmas it is not long before we have Christmas again. Love and hugs Leila

I think the lion will need a starring role, once finished! Enjoy the book. Helen #1

Great little lion - hope he gets himself together soon. Or you get him together lol. Good luck with the Christmas card making. Those freebies do come in handy sometimes.

Hee hee I know exactly what you mean, I fell deep back into reading during the slow times when it was too much effort to move during the remodel. So, hopefully you finish that book soon so your lion can be put together Elizabeth. Yep, I am pretty sure I will get a window seat, we had one in our first house and its the only thing I miss about that home. Thanks for the earlier visit, ~Stacy #36

Looking forward to seeing the little lion finished, the picture on the pattern looks so cute.
I know what you mean about losing the gun and then finding it only to know you will lose it again - happens to me all the time. Guess my memory is not as sharp as it used to be. Old age!
Have a good week
