It's been a week of celebration here. Our youngest grandson had his 18th birthday the day after Valentine's Day.
Here he is on the day, posing in a Formula 1 car. He's enthusiastic about all sports but F1 racing has been a lifelong obsession so his parents couldn't have thought of a more perfect birthday treat.
And here's a funny I thought might give you reason to smile - especially if you are, like me, getting on a bit!
Three sisters age 92, 94 and 96 live in a house together.
One night the 96 year old draws a bath, puts her foot in and pauses. She yells down the stairs, "Was I getting in or out of the bath?"
The 94 year old yells back, "I don't know, I'll come up and see." She starts up the stairs and pauses, then she yells, "Was I going up the stairs or coming down?"
The 92 year old was sitting at the kitchen table having tea listening to her sisters. She shakes her head and says, "I sure hope I never get that forgetful."
She knocks on wood for good measure. She then yells, "I'll come up and help both of you as soon as I see who's at the door."
Have a happy weekend everyone.

Oh yessssss. I must be getting on a bit then 😂😂😂😂 .....esp as my daughter has told me she has a shoulder problem that comes on in middle age! She's only 32!
Hugs,

LOL! Oh dear! I can relate!
Ha ha Elizabeth! I'm already experiencing forgetfulness! I should take those vitamins that help with memory but I can't remember which ones they are!!!
Happy Friday - and have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Kay
Haha, that's funny. Things like this (but less extreme) happen in our household too (hubby is 70 and I'm only 66). We just laugh about it and try to put systems in place to reduce the damage of our forgetfulness.
Did your grandson actually get to drive a car or was it just posing?
Have a good weekend,
Lisca
Love that Elizabeth, there are occasions I have to admit that it happens to me though I think most of the time it's because I am too easily distracted and forget what it was I was actually supposed to be doing Lol! Thanks for the visit to mine and have a great weekend, Angela xXx
Oh Elizabeth; that's wicked. When I saw the photo coming up I thought you were going to quote the poem "When I grow old I will wear purple with a red hat....". I am sure you know the one I mean. But what you said insted really made me smile.
I am glad your grandson enjoyed his eighteenth. Time flies by for them all doesn't it?. Kate x
