Sunday Snippet - A Garden Themed Tag

Hi Folks

Hope you are all having a fun Sunday and that the sun is shining for you.

It's sunshine and showers for us here and it's fairly putting the EM out ... twice he has been out mowing the lawn and, because it's an electric mower, twice he has been rained off!

Anyway, continuing with the garden theme I've made this tag for my snippet make for Pixie's Snippets Playground - Week 124.
Because I wanted to use the watering can image - from that colouring session I had a couple of weeks ago - and the red Gelli print - leftover from a printing done months ago - I opted to use grey card for the base and the die-cut fern leaves. The feather embellishment was a fortuitous find while raking in the sticker/topper drawer and the VOS item? - it's the greeting button - so old, I've totally forgotten where it came from but I suspect it was a magazine freebie. It's matted on to a circle punched from a snippet of red card.

In fact, this tag is made entirely from bits and bobs I had lying around on my desk or in the stash mountain ... scraps, leftovers and snippets, NBUS (see sidebar for interpretation) and even a VOS ... Very Old Stash: a useful new term discovered over at ScrappyMo's which, I freely admit, just about describes most of my stuff. Like Mo, I'm still  trying very hard to use up my stash, saving all my pocket money to invest in plants for the garden instead.
And talking of the garden, the location for this photo shoot - oh get me! - was just outside our back door. so nice to be able to do that now that the temperature is climbing again ... or as my grandfather would have said, now that the glass is up!

As it is Sunday, I'm claiming Jules law - which is to be lazy and not list the materials used ... just as well because I'd have a hard time remembering source details :)

I'm off now to check out what's going on down at the snippets playground - maybe I'll see you there too.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and happy crafting,

What a great tag...and best of all...from snippets. Love that part!

You are doing so well with your goal! You are inspiring me too!

So far it has been easy and I will feel even easier as I see more room for organizing, freed up in my room. Think I need to make 500 cards for that though!!!

I am thinking of extending it to 100 cards but time will tell...think I can do it.

Love your sweet watering card image and also just love your photo by the watering can. Perfection!

Fabulous tag Elizabeth, a great result from all those bits and bobs. I'd be hard pushed to make something as lovely even raking through all my goodies stored away here!

And how very arty, LOVE your photo 'setting' for the tag :)

Grinned about the grass cutting - Len has a new expression here. He likes the back garden to look like a 'smart meadow' for as long as possible!!

Hugs, Di xx
