Hi Everyone,
Back again this week! And it's the second week in a row I'm managing to participate in What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday ... I'm doing well :)
Still not much going on but I have the start of a card laid out waiting for a flash of inspiration. There's that snoozing kitten again, a roll of Washi tape, used for parcel wrapping and not put away, and a bag of 'twinchie' sized stamps - mostly freebies from Craft Stamper. The stamp on the acrylic block is the one that came with the embossing folder. I fished the green embossed card out of the box on the left and challenged myself to do something with it.
That box is a catch-all for the various bits and pieces I've stamped, decoupaged, inked, Gelli-printed, etc. Catching them in one place like this would be all very well if I did something with them but often as not these bits just get forgotten. But no longer! This is the week that I've decided the box will be, if not emptied, at least have the contents thinned out, considerably thinned out. There is a very good reason for this surge of productivity - well there would have to be a very good reason. It is that the craft room is going to be decorated next month, at last - we've only been here 20 months - which means that the craft room is going to be emptied of all stash to allow the EM, painter/decorator in residence, to work his magic. My job between now and then is to purge the contents and pack up what is being kept. Wish me luck, I'm going to need it!
Having said all that, I'm now abandoning the sort out and heading over to Julia's at the Stamping Ground where there's links to a lot more desks, much more interesting than mine, to peek at.
Have a great week.
Happy WOYWW to you all.

It looks like life is similar for us both at the mo Elizabeth.....lots of sorting and packing up to move is on the cards for us both [ for me it will happen when I have somewhere to put it all :-) ]. Hope your sorting goes well.
Hugs,

Hi Elizabeth, and hugs to The Boss. I keep all the craft stamper stamps too- one of these days I'm going to use some! Best of luck with the sorting and packing. It's the unpacking afterwards that takes so long, finding new homes for everything! Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #4 xx
I have exactly the same Elizabeth, boxes of stamped images, die cuts, embossed backgrounds, stamped backgrounds and offcuts and tiny snippets of paper and I keep making more. Every so often a have a splurge but they still seem to grow. At least you are going to have a lovely redecorated room very soon. Good Luck. Barb#20 xx
Even after I purged so much from my craft room, I still would hate to have to pack everything up. I don't envy you the job.
I had to laugh because I was reading "Kitty" and was looking for Bonnie. Of course, I didn't find her, but DID find the kitty!
I look forward to seeing your new and finished craft room when it is complete. Happy WOYWW from #2.
I only wish I had ONE catch all spot....LOL
Good luck, and look forward to seeing your "new" craft room.
No # haven't had a chance to play in quite awhile.....just being nosey today.....*grin*
Next month? Oh my! We're thinking of moving next March and I'm fussing that time is running short to use up stash and purge things and I have much more time than you do with just one month! You probably aren't the procrastinator that I am. I think it is great to use up the leftover bits and the almost finished things. I spend a lot of time doing that myself, so much so that recently I joked I forgot how to make a card from scratch! We'll be anxiously awaiting to see the "after" shot of your room once it is all finished off. Judy #49
My space also needs to be painted and refreshed but I just can't bring myself to start to pack everything up and move it so I can get to the walls. Maybe over the winter....or not.

Hi Elizabeth, maybe decorating is a good idea as it forces you to sort out your stash. Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 19
I can't bear the thought of packing up all my stash, though the room really needs decorating.. good luck!! Helen 3
I think a good clear out now and then is a necessity....reminding you of what you'd lost/forgotten about/don't need anymore!! And then you get a chance to put it all back in slightly neater cos you've got to know your room by then....have fun using your bits from that box!
Hugs, LLJ 14 xxxx
Busy day with family and friends yesterday so I am all behind with my blog visits. I wonder what you will do with that pretty embossed card piece. No doubt you will show and tell! x Jo
