Little White Rabbit

Afternoon Everyone

It's been threatening to rain all day but stayed dry long enough for me to get some outside painting done. And, isn't it the way of things, now that I've finished, the sun is shining  ... oh, the joys of living in Scotland!

Just for a change from the coloured topper cards I've been making recently, I have one of my recycled topper cards to share this time.
The topper, tiny flowers and the greeting all came from a birthday card received last year. I just cut the little white rabbit out with a circle die, placed in such a way that one side remained straight. It was then matted on to another lacy circle cut from a scrap of pink cardstock. The topper was then adhered to a square base created from lilac textured cardstock.

The greeting was trimmed and matted on to another scrap of the pink cardstock then glued in place with glue gel.

I've decorated it with lots of tiny flowers and a sprinkling of butterflies - punched from snippets of lilac and deep pink cardstock - finished off with tiny pink and lilac gems.

I'm sure this card is going to delight one of my little g-girls when their birthday comes round later this year - they all seem to have been born with a dominant 'think pink' gene :)

Scraps, snippets and recycling ... it can only mean one thing ... I'm off to see Di, Parsnip and the duck pond at Pixie's Snippets Playground.
and:
just fluttering in at the last minute, Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge - #6 Glamorous Butterflies

Right, I'm off, time to think about dinner ... pity we have to eat :)

Have a good evening and happy crafting,
Materials: cardstock - Docrafts Papermania Textured Cardstock, Papermill Direct cardstock; topper - the recycled birthday card;  dies - Docrafts X-Cut Circles set, Spellbinders Nestabilities Splendid Circles set; punches - Woodware tiny flower and butterfly; gems - Anita's gem wheels in two sizes

I love it!!! Such a great way to recycle another card. I'd have never thought of that. Very inspiring, especially how you've added lots of lovely decoration to it. The colours too are sublime. Pxx

A brilliant card Elizabeth, and a fabulous way to use up such an adorable image. I love the little butterflies and flowers.

No I didn't print all the papers, just sorted the mess of digi papers on the computer, by putting them into folders etc., they should be easier to find and know what I have. Also I've found some gems amongst them.
