What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - WOYWW Week 440

It's another Wednesday and another opportunity to reveal all for Julia's What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. However dull and disappointing here's what's on my desk today.
I'm working on this quilting project at the classes I attend but, because I've had to miss a couple of sessions, I'm waaaaaay behind. Next class tomorrow morning so I really do need to get a wriggle on. I did pop the pattern illustration on top of the materials so that you can see what I'm aiming for. It's a 'catch-all caddy' which will be very useful should I ever get it finished. I've chosen strawberries and polka dots - reminding me of the fabulous fifties. And, yes, I can still remember the fifties despite my advancing years!

I'm still recovering from a very nasty fall - I did what my mother would have described as 'going all your length' - injuring my legs, right knee and both shoulders - so not much of anything being done at all. However, I was up to be taken out to The Cocoabean Company, the chocolate factory, in Twynholm on Sunday. Some of you may have already seen my photos on Facebook but here's a few of my favourites for the chocoholics among you.

Handmade choccies - so bad for you but sooooo delicious.

The trip was also intended to cheer me up because, sadly, we no longer have the puppy, Molly. Due to the EM's current ill health and my untimely fall we decided that we were not up to giving a very lively and playful puppy the care and attention she needed, and deserved. It's not all bad though, she is now staying with my daughter and her family and having a wonderful time playing with her brother Pepsi.
Here's the two wee terrors, Molly on the left and Pepsi on the right. They make a lovely handful. I miss her dreadfully but I do realise that it's all for the best.

That's it for me this week. I'm off now to brew a cuppa and sit down to read as many WOYWW posts as I can before lunch.

Take care everyone and have a wonderful WOYWW.

I'm so sorry for you that you had to let go of the pup but being with your daughter you get the change to see Molly from time to time. I'm not much of a chocolate-eater (am I weird?) but those photo's made even me drool! Happy woyww, have a warm and bright day, hug from Holland, Marit #19

Hi Ellie. I really hope your bruises are healing well now and you’re managing to keep busy creatively...it’s great therapy. I really love the fabrics you’ve chosen to make your caddy out of....it should prove to be a very useful bag.
Sending you biggest healing hugs (for the bruises you can see and the heartache that you can’t)

Oh I am so sorry to hear you took a tumble - it shakes you up so much when you're not as young as you used to be. I hope that you take things easy and get better really quickly. It must have been a hard decision to let Molly go but it was the right one...the thing is, when you're better, you can still take her out for walks. I'm sorry to hear that EM hasn't been well either, give him my love and a hug.
Your quilting looks amazing and that bag looks familiar, I've made one or two of those over the past couple of years and they are jolly useful!

Oh Elizabeth. I'm so sorry. I trust you are slowly recovering - you really didn't do yourself any good, did you?! Sorry, too, that the wee rascal of a pup has had to move house. But you know she has gone to a good home!
Trust the sewing goes well, and the wriggle is really productive today! Thanks for visiting last week - sorry life went by without being able to get back to you!
Those chocolates look amazing! What a place for a day out.
Take care. God bless.

Hi Elizabeth, I hope you are starting to feel better. I know only too well just how easy it is to have a stupid fall. Sad you have had to let Molly go, but she is close at hand, and you have to do what is best for all of you. Those chocolates! I'd have spent a fortune, lol. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #10 XxX

oh poor you, do hope you recover from your bumps soon! shame you've had to pass the care of Molly over, but at least you can still see her when you visit. I have finally finally started the Carole Matthews book, (not read anything for ages!) and really enjoying it, so thanks once again (belatedly!)

So sorry to hear about your fall Elizabeth. That sounds mighty painful and what a fall - you certainly did it justice!
Glad you managed to go to the chocolate factory, and hope you got to sample quite a few - and got some bought to help your bruising get better.
Sorry to hear about your having to give Molly up but so glad to hear that she is happy with her brother in her new home. At least you will still be able to see her when you visit.
Take care, you both need some TLC by the sound of it.
Take care
Hugs, Neet 2
ps I know how wonderful the caddy will look as I have a chook one you made.

Sorry to hear about your fall Elizabeth and hope you recover quickly. Puppies are a lot of work aren't they? our eldest son and family have an eight month Beagle - he is slowly chewing up their home :-) He's gorgeous but I think it has been harder than they thought it would be. He's gorgeous though :-) Anne x #26

Sorry to hear about your fall Elizabeth and also that you've had to give up Molly. At least you will be able to visit her and she's with family. It's a good job that chocolate is only in the form of photos as I'm sure I could put on weight just visiting the factory! Happy WOYWW Sarah #27

So sorry to hear you have given your puppy up but you will still see her often I am sure. I made the difficult decision not to have another puppy when my Morse died two years ago. Not being steady on my feet and needing a new hip. I miss the walks as we always met someone to talk to walking along the paseo. Anickoana #18

Hi Elizabeth. Sorry to hear about your fall, that sounds painful! The pictures of the chocs look yummy. I hope you got plenty - purely comfort food to aid your recovery from the fall. The puppies do look mischievous together! The fabulous fifties - lots of stories to tell I imagine! Have a lovely week, Heather #5
