A Trio of Christmas Cards

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are enjoying your weekend and that it is not as blustery where you are as it is here in the west of Bonnie Scotland!

I can't believe I haven't posted anything since Wednesday ... what have I been doing that has kept me so busy? Lots, but I have to admit most of it hasn't been craft related ... well, some of it has! For a start, I've hoovered the back of my computer, the keyboard and cleaned the mouse. This unaccustomed flurry of cleaning is all down to Mary Anne's WOYWW post on Wednesday ... shamed in to it, in fact! Then we have a new fridge/freezer being delivered so I've had to cook up a storm in an attempt to empty our old one ready for the changeover. And finally, any good spells have seen me out in the garden trying to make sure all the little plants raised from seed have a home for the summer. So it's been all go here at Casa Worthington but I have found some crafting time and produced this trio of cards.

As you can see, I've been experimenting with taking the photos in a different location - not very successfully. The cards are made with items from a Docraft's Henbury Lane Poinsettia pack which I've had for at least a couple of years if not more. I've made lots of cards from this pack already and yet there's still loads to use up. Not that I mind, it's so pretty. Here I've covered the square base cards with pretty patterned paper and used three toppers made up from some of the decoupage sheets that came with the pack.

I've embellished the cards with ribbon, lace and gems.

I'm submitting these cards to the following challenges:

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper June Challenge - a challenge that is always about using patterned papers

CHNC Challenge Extra for June 2015 - anything goes as long as it's Christmas

Because I'm way behind with making cards for Christmas I'm making a huge effort to catch up by making several similar but different in one crafty sitting ... well, that's the plan. Besides, I'll soon have to pack a lot of my stash away to allow the EM in to decorate this room so it makes sense to try to use up as much stash as possible, as quickly as possible. Quite a challenge, and one I can only keep up if the weather stays as bad as it has been recently!

Thanks for popping by, all visits and comments are much appreciated.

Happy Crafting,
