What's On Your Desk Wednesday - WOYWW 305

Afternoon Deskers and All,

Forgot today is Wednesday so I'm late (again - what's new!) for WOYWW. It's warm and sunny here so I've been out working in the garden and some little blighter has bitten me so I've retreated into the relative safety of my craft room :)

What's on my desk today? Well, I've had a bit of a tidy up session so it looks a lot clearer than last week, that's for sure. All the small containers of embellishments, etc., are now corralled into that file box - so much easier to keep control of those bits and bobs in there. Just to the left of the pack of toppers is my tea and a buttered hot cross bun left over from Easter ... I'm doing my bit for the planet because, if I don't eat it now, it will only go stale and have to be consigned to the waste bin :) To the front there's a snippet card in the planning stages with patterned papers in shades of red, snippets of white and red cardstock, some dies I may, or may not use, and the topper, chosen from that pack at the back, that I will use. And to the right is this:

I'm trying so hard not to spend on any more crafting goodies ... I'm always trying hard not to give way to temptation ... but now you see how weak-willed I am!!! This purchase is down to Helen, over at Stamping by H ... it's all her fault because last week she just happened to mention that there was a closing down sale at Stamp Attic. After I got over the shock of learning that Wendy is retiring at the end of May, I hot footed it over to make possibly my last purchase before the dreaded day, and fell by the wayside for this Tonic Daisy Border punch - it promises effortless punching power! - and the Simple Pleasures stamp from Paper Bag Studio - we have a bench just like this one in our garden ... I plan to sit on it some day, just as soon as all the weeding is done :)

I've not just one desk today ... I've taken over the EM's pool table with my scrapbook albums. They need sorting out so a large surface is called for. I've written the themes of each scrapbook on the post-its; all I need to do now is create a label for each album and I won't get them in such a muddle again ... well, that's the theory!

And here's the reason why I can take such liberties with the pool table ... the EM has donned his overalls and is painting the lounge walls. That's the second coat of Rice Cake going up as we speak.

Sorry, Julia, not quite so brief this week. I promise I'll try to do better next week. Now I'm off to check out a few desks - see what you're all up to.

In the meantime, thanks for popping in and I wish you all a great week ahead.

Happy WOYWW,

I'm sat here smiling Elizabeth....I just love the fact that I'm not the only one to snap my other half when he's busy :-) This week mine has been laying a new lawn and path in the back garden :-)
Your albums look so impressive.....good luck with creating labels for them :-)
Have a great week.

You have just reminded me of the fact that I too need to reorg my albums. I have them in two different houses and we don't have a pool table, but one of these days I'm gonna do it!
I love the stamp with the bench on it. I would have succumbed too if i had seen that....
Have a good week,

It is always good if we have someone to blame for our shopping activities :-) It just doesn't work not buying any new crafting stuff. Nice toys you got!

That's right blame it on Helen! I blame it on Julia, so we are in good company, you and I :-). Actually, that daisy punch is really lovely, I bet you use it loads! Don't your albums look fab? Labelling them is a good idea, I should do that with our photos, it would make life a lot easier.
And I like that Rice Cake colour on your walls...is it a warm or cool tone? He's doing a grand job is your hubby!

Hi Elizabeth..happy WOYWW. I'm sitting here thinking you might have the right idea - I need to tidy, sort and purge so my mojo isn't all foggy - right after I leave you a comment. I too keep saying no more purchases - and did the same yesterday but we just need to focus on using up what we already have - so many things in drawers etc forgotten - sigh - but I must say I do love the bench stamp - having fun using it and sitting outdoors on your own. Cheers and have fun in the garden RobynO#25

I can totally relate to being weak willed. I don't have any self control when it comes to crafty items. April #62

I agree it is all Helen's fault she did mention the shop closing down. As for me I did manage to resist temptation and stay away but I have been working too so that helps. I love that stamp I also have a bench seat like this in my garden, I just don't get enough time to use it, I would much more prefer to be in the art room. Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a wonderful crafting week, tell hubby to keep up the good work. He can come to my house next if he wants.

Happy WOYWW

"And another one bites the dust", me too! Helen should have kept it quite. I have been on the Stamp Attic Website three times now Lol!
Wendy has always had such great stock and will be greatly missed but hopefully will have more time to craft herself.
Have a great week and happy crafting, Angela x 24
