WOYWW 265

Hi Everyone,

July already! Never mind the weeks and months, where's the year going?

It's been a couple of weeks since I've been able to check in with our Head Desker, Julia, and her What's On Your Desk Wednesday - that's where many Deskers around the world reveal their messy/tidy desks just for the fun of it.

However, before I reveal my desk today, I just had to show you these first.
Two fabulous ATCs received while I've been MIA - all the way from the other side of the pond. The one on the left is from Kelly, KellySCreativeDreams - the lace trim and the glossy WOYWW5 button are fab - and the one on the right is from Darnell, djkardkreations, encouraging me, as if encouragement was needed, to buy crafty schtuff ... brilliant :)

Now to the desk.
Just a wee card in progress. The paper is a leftover from a recently completed scrap page and I've pulled out a few notions and embellishments that I may or may not use on the card. At the back is a pile of buff-it and gentle blends - it's there to remind me to use it! As are the two wood mounted stamps ... the bigger of the two is, as Darnell would call it, a NBUS - never been used schtuff. I was going to give it it's first ever inking for a couple of Rudolph Day cards last month but I ran out of time, sigh, ... perhaps it will happen this month! The box is chock-a-block with sequins of all shapes, colours and sizes and the jar contains a variety of wooden shapes. Oh, and what's that written on the notebook? Just the information needed for the journaling on that scrap page.

The EM is still suffering with sciatica so the decorating of the hall, stairs, etc., has slowed down and looks like being a WIP for a good few weeks yet. The Boss has recovered from her ear infection and enjoying life again ... snoozing in the sun all day and just occasionally popping in to check on us human's :) I'm still experiencing RSI problems in hands and arms, one reason why I've not got much done over the last few weeks. And as a result the garden is looking lush and overgrown, and in dire need of the services of the lovely lady gardener, Annie, who has agreed to come and help us. In the meantime, I'm consoling myself by going to look at other people's gardens - those open under the charity raising scheme, Scotland's Gardens

So that's me for today. Now I'm off to take a peek at what is on other WOYWWers' desks this morning.

Thanks for visiting and look forward to visiting you too. Have a great day whatever you are doing.

Happy Crafting,

It's been a long day full of fun for me but that means this has been my first chance to call by at my blogging friends to see what they have all been up to so I'm sorry for the delay this week.
Hope all members of your household are 100% very soon.
Hugs,

Hi Elizabeth - thanks for visiting - sorry to hear about the RSI but don't fret about the garden being lush - some of Wisley was a bit blowsy & lush too but still looked good - just think of it as a wildlife haven !! Have a good week ! Ali #5

Hello Elizabeth. Trust the EM is soon feeling better. Sciatica is no joke - it's horrid and very painful. Great things lurking there on your desk today - trust you really enjoy using them all.

I like using the metallic rubs, just not always sure how to use them. I don't have the blue, it looks so rich. Hope your hands feel better and you can get back to crafting. I stopped my the Scotland's Garden link, stunning gardens there.

I'm late, and we've corresponded already...and I'm still smiling and thankful! Poor EM, sciatica is no joke. And nor is the RSI thing, your poor arms and hands...
I too have a jungle out there....poor old Mr Dunnit has been so busy since we got home that it's not even within his line of vision...am going to bribe family!
It doesn't matter how long it takes, it's so nice to see that you're crafting and erm, using stuff up..!!

Hi Elizabeth,

Is that a new photo of you? It's a lovely photo.

The papers you'll be working with look great. I hope the RSI problems go away soon (or at least get better).

Happy belated WOYWW
Peace, Kay (60)
