WOYWW 255

Morning Everyone,

Happy St George's Day!

Another Wednesday, another workdesk for Julia's super bloghop, that's What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?! And, as has become the norm in recent times, there's not been a lot of action on mine this last week ... the glorious sunshine has been too much of a lure :) Anyway, here's what the craft desk looked like late Tuesday evening, and believe me there's been no change since.
Apart from the usual tools of the trade, scissors, guillotine, pen and pencil, there's a couple of pots of crafty goodness - embossing powder and silver gilding wax. There's also a much neglected box of peel-offs, only rescued from the dark recesses of the craft room for a greeting used on the silver anniversary card featured in my last post. There's a card in progress - I'm still thinking about what finishing touches to add - that's what the pile of scraps and other bits and bobs on the left are there for.
My new potting table and pots of seedlings ... a major distraction at this time of the year, especially when the sun is beckoning too :) That's my increasing auricula collection on top ... until recently I was the proud owner of just one - in the big pot at the back! Our old auricula theatre fell to pieces last year so they are all there until we find another way of displaying them.

The rain came back yesterday afternoon and there's more forecast for today - perfect weather for a bit of desk snooping visiting. So I'm looking forward to seeing what you are all up to today, and leaving as many comments as I can.

Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday and happy crafting,

I like the garden work station! Rain threatened here too - we are decorating so not a problem really. The garden does need a bit of attention though - and I want to get a few lettuce/rocket seeds in too. x Jo

Glad you've had such a good time in the garden - always a dilemma, choosing between that and crafting, when the sun shines. I reckon we just need to make the most of days like that. I love the idea of an auricula theatre - a great way of showing them off. Have a great week, Chris # 19 x

LOL! I have three little strips of guilding wax, haven't used it in YEARS, but maybe I should try to find a use for it again. Lovely little compact garden workdesk too! very handy. Expecting rain here too so I agree a day in snooping is best....

Happy WOYWW!

My whole family has been outdoors relaying flagstones, making new compost heaps etc etc but I haven't been doing much except sitting in the sun as I've really pulled muscles in my back and am walking like John Wayne at the moment....:-( However, I have supervised well and made lots of tea!!

Hi Elizabeth,

I so love Primulas but they don't like me, I have an anaphylaxis allergic reaction to them everytime I touch them, such a pity. The sunshine sounds so nice, we are heading into the colder weather now boo hoo but hey that's how the world goes round. Don't worry about the desk it will still be there after the sun has gone. Happy planting and crafting.

Hello Elizabeth I too am rather taken with your potting table. I could do with that. I think that may be about all the gardening I'm going to manage for a while. DH will do heavy work and lawn cutting but is not a gardener you cannot leave him alone to weed- have lot plants before that way :-) Happy WOYWW Anne x #37

Hi Elizabeth
happy WOYWW. I'm running late sorry. I too have stretches of inactivity on my desk...lured by other things but I always find my way back there LOL. Oh I like that butterfly punch on your desk. Have fun gardening...I kill plants....

I am trying to catch up with my visiting while the dog grooming van is here,- one dog done and one being done as I write. Thank you for your visits today, and your lovely comments. As far as the caravan is concerned, the towing and hitching up and unhitching is not my problem, it is all the effort required to fill the hot water tanks, set up the loo and all the packing/unpacking either end. That is just plain hard work, and I am still very sore. Auriculas have never been my chosen flower. I think it is because they look so similar to primulas and I only like the true English primrose. I do know it is a very addictive hobby to collect them though. I am going for as many perfumed plants as I can cram in to my new beds. The yet to be built new ones will not be done for at least 6 weeks, so I still have to move everything in the way and plan what I can put in those. In the meantime, I have loads of tiny plants to put out, while there is space to shoehorn them in. I love your now finished card, really special. Have a good week. xx Maggie #10

Golly, I'm not sure why I didn't visit when I came for Friday Smiles. Some days I don't think before I leap. Your new potting "desk" is fantastic. I like the setup, complete with sunshine.

Thanks for stopping by my place on Wednesday. Guess I partied too hard this week and have a lot of catching up to do. Belated and regretful WOYWW wishes from # 9.
