WOYWW - Week 205

Morning Everyone,

Happy Wednesday to you all ... time for us to join in Julia's mammoth blog hop over at the Stamping Ground again and reveal to our fellow crafty bloggers what we are up to today.

In my case, not a lot! Just a bit of colouring with ProMarkers. The eagle-eyed will notice that the newly decorated and upcycled cat food boxes are now gracing the workdesk. All the stuff that looked so messy before is still handy, but is now tidily tucked away. There's not much else of note ... a finished card in a box and on top of some stamping blocks are several unfinished ones ... the results of my experiments with printing digital stamps directly on to card bases.

We were out gallivanting yesterday ... well, it was scorching out and too good a day to waste indoors. We drove down to Dumfries, to the Camera Obscura there. It's situated in this very old mill.

A novel experience it was too ... sixty steps up a spiral staircase! I didn't know what to expect really but thought it was something to do with looking up at what was going on in the sky. Instead, we were given an aerial view of the entire town of Dumfries and much of the surrounding area ... it was amazing :) We had a picnic in the grounds and then went on to visit Dumfries's Robert Burns Museum. All-in-all, a terrific day out. Oh, and that's another item on the bucket list ticked off :))

The weather isn't going to be so good today ... no temptation to get out and about. Instead, I'll be popping in to visit as many desks as I can manage. Many thanks to all who visited and left comments last week ... they are all read and appreciated :))

I hope you all have a great WOYWW day.

Happy crafting,

Hi Elizabeth,

Coloring is so relaxing, isn't it. Looks like you have enough to keep you occupied for a bit.

Your outing looks like it was a lot of fun. Love the photo of the old mill. It reminds me of a lighthouse.

I love getting a jump on visiting those of us that post early to WOYWW.

Happy WOYWW

Good morning Elizabeth

I love a good colouring session .. very therapeutic and relaxing don't you think (unless you accidentally go out of the lines LOL!!).

We have rain here today too. So that will stop me doing more washing!!

Great photograph of the old mill. Sounds like a lovely place to stumble across.

Hope you have a good day.

Love Jules xx

Looks like the printing experiment was a good one. love the image you're about to colour. Glad you downed pencils for a day out, camera obscura on my bucket list too..we once climbed a heart failure type hill in Aberystwyth only to find it was closed for renovation. still a wonderful view anyway, but not quite the same.

looks like a great day out Elizabeth. It was lovely here too but I had to take my Aunt to hospital, went to Sugar craft in a very warm room and then felt shattered in the afternoon after the very early start. Did spend some time in garden though. Not so good today.
You have been busy making some lovely cards. Anne x #70

Your printing experiment looks very promising. I am sure once you have coloured they will be gorgeous. Thanks for offering to help with the stamp. At this stage I will wait for a few UK stores to reply to my emails and see where that leads. Have a lovely week.

Hello, Elizabeth, I'm a bit belated in returning your WOYWW-related visit -- better late than never! That's a good idea, printing the digital images right on the card bases. Sounds like you had a lovely day out! ~ Laura #105
