I'm late ... a mini photo album

Hello Everyone

I hope you've all had a good day and that this finds you well.

I took advantage of the sunshine and spent some time in the garden sorting out the storm damage. So not a lot of crafting has been done today which is why I'm posting this little photo album, aptly entitled, 'It's late, it's late ...'. It was made for last month's UKPC swap, the theme being 'time'.
Album front
I've combined paper from Docrafts Papermania Chronology Collection and stamps from Polkadoodles Wonderland set. All the images were stamped on to snippets of white card and coloured with ProMarkers. The clock hands were off our old clock ... they are attached to the clock face with a Tim Holtz metal brad ... and the cogs, etc., are from a pack bought online from a forgotten source a year or two ago. The quote from Alice and Wonderland was computer generated, printed on to white card, and trimmed into the banner shape.
Album inside and photo mounts
The flap trims were made from black card edge punched (a Martha Stewart punch). The photo mounts are double sided, room for eight photos altogether, and made from black card covered in the Chronology paper. I used a tiny attacher to staple the ribbon to the top of the mounts.
Album back
Because the Chronology paper is single sided, the album is made from two 12"x12" sheets ... one sheet with an allover timepiece pattern for the basic shape and half a coordinating sheet to line the inside. Otherwise the album can be made from one double-sided sheet of patterned paper. I did write a post showing how to make the albums way back in 2012 - click here if you would like to see this.

I'd like to submit this to the following challenges

Pixie's Snippets Playground - Week 145 ... the images were stamped on snippets

Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge for October ... though not strictly a card, it is made entirely from patterned paper so may still qualify.

In fact, these little albums are a great way of using up 12"x12" patterned paper and make nice little gifts.

Thanks for looking.

Happy Crafting,

Wonderful idea the hands of the clock.
Now this has given me an idea for my hubbies next Birthday card next year that's if I don't have a senior moment and forget by then, as he mends clocks for a hobby.

  14. I love making books and your little mini album is terrific. Great idea to use the hands from a clock to accent your clock paper. I saw your book on Pixie's Playground and am now a follower of your blog.
