WOYWW 186 - Boxing Day ...

... I hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday, whatever you were doing and wherever you were.

I almost didn't post today but as this will be the last WOYWW of 2012 it seemed a shame to miss it. WOYWW is that Wednesday in every week when we, that is those of us either brave enough or daft enough (wear whichever hat you think suits) pop over to the fabulous Julia's blog, the Stamping Ground,  and post a photo of showing the state of their desk at that particular moment. Here's mine today.

There's not been a lot going on for a few days, not a lot at all. There is the start of a scrap page. Well, the photos are out and some papers are strewn about but that's about it. A new diary, some stamps and mini candi that were freebies with a crafting magazine, a pack of tissues that have a cute illustration of a cat on it ... as the EM said, they are too nice to use for the purpose intended :)) The little card with the robin sitting on top of a garden handle contains gift tokens - craft gift tokens, yeah!!! I feel a spendathon coming on :))

And, just because I like it, here's a rather blurry photo taken of the EM proving that you are never too old for toys :) Arihanna looks a bit bemused, don't you think?

We've had a lovely Christmas. Our celebration dinner went off without a hitch and was delicious. Yes, I can say, the day went well.

We are off out today, possibly tomorrow too, so I'll be slow to visit you ... what's new, I can hear some of you saying ... but I will be popping in whenever I can.

In the meantime, I wish you all a lovely day whatever you are doing, a great week, and a Happy WOYWW.

I'd forgotten it was Wednesday til I switched the computer on but of course I wouldn't miss out our fun for all the world even if life is pretty manic at ours today :-)
I've done the early prep that I can do for the party later[quiche, icing of buns, cooking of mini sausages etc] so there is just the last minute bits to go in the oven now. Now enjoying a quick bit of blog hopping and a coffee :-)
Here's hoping 2013 brings good health and much happiness for all :-)
Biggest hugs,
Annie x

You have reminded me of a keyring I used to have....the difference between men and boys is the price of their toys! Tee Hee!
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
All the best in 2013. Going to Hogmanay on Monday, the first in years and am jolly well looking forward to an evening of Scottish Dancing to see the New Year in!
Hugs

The last WOYWW for 2012! Where did this year go?? I see your gearing up to preserve the memories. I have mine down loaded onto the pc, but with about 200 photos to roam through it will take some time to pick and choose. BUT I do have time now that the great holiday is over. Happy WOYWW and Boxing Day

Your DH looks like he is having fun!

A spendathon sounds like fun and best of all you might get some bargains with the after Xmas sales...here they have huge sales on Boxing day and the week up till New Years!
Eventually Xmas paper crafty stuff will be 80 or 90% off.

Your page papers look great...can't wait to see the layout.

I've been out today. Was supposed to be out tomorrow but the little one is poorly so it looks as if it is cancelled. Ah well, maybe another day.
Glad you got to enjoy your day, sounds as if you had a wonderful time.

Looks like a lot of fun is being had by all at your house this year. I got to talk to DS and DIL and see the two granddaughters open some of their gifts thanks to the miracle of digital cameras. Hope you are having a great holiday week and Happy New Year! Thanks for stopping by and visiting my desk at this busy time of year but like you I couldn't miss the last WOYWW of the year! Vickie #4

My menfolk got all the old Lego down from the attic today!, they really enjoyed playing with it too, although it was meant for my great nephew!
So glad you had a fab day, ours was lovely too, though a bit sad in places.. It was so lovely to meet you earlier on this year, I shall treasure that memory!

Nothing better than being a grandparent, because then you can legally play with toys again and nobody thinks you are daft, they just think you are an awesome grandparent. LOL
Happy WOYWW and may the New Year bring you lots of happiness, good health and blessings.

What a great picture, Elizabeth! Arihanna does look quite bemused and seems to be saying, "Please, Grandma, don't you have a chore for EM so I can play with my toys?" LOL. Too adorable!

Best wishes to you and your family for a happy and healthy new year!! Darnell #53
