What's On Your Workdesks Wednesday - Week 386

Hello WOYWWers and All,

And a warm welcome to my newest followers/enablers, Sandra and Megan. I hope you will both keep coming back to find out what I'm up to as I get back into the swing of things.

I'm back after a couple of really busy weeks of visiting family, birthday parties and having visitors to stay. It's been fun but exhausting! And because of that there hasn't been much on my workdesk over the last two weeks. However, it's lovely to escape to the peace and quiet of my craft room once again, from where I can report to our Head Desker, Julia, (at The Stamping Ground) that there's a lot of fabric cutting going on.
This is homework for the quilting course. Last minute, naturally. The next class is tomorrow morning so I should get a wriggle on. When I've finished cutting this into 6" lengths it's on to the sewing part. Cue the sewing table.
Sashing and little corner squares to be sewn together. Once that's all done everything, including the sewing machine, has to be packed in to the tote ready for an early start tomorrow! Note: the calendar is on the right month. Now that is unusual.

Right! That's what's on my workdesks this week. Now I'm off to check out as many others as I can before everything is dropped for the Great British Bake Off Final this evening - couldn't possibly miss that :)

Have a great WOYWW and a fabulous week ahead.

Hi Elizabeth, in this house, if it wasn't for the last minute, nothing would get done, lol. Love how the quilting is going. Have a great week, hugs, Shaz #1 xxx

Looks like a fun project. I have never highlighted my sewing desk. Your machine looks like it is a beauty. Since the girls grew up, I mostly scrapbook now. But, Christmas season will put me back in the stitching zone. {I have some orders for the 'fairy coats' I make. Hmmm maybe next week. Keep smiling and creating.

Good to see lots of friends and either visit or have visitors but always ice to get back to peace and quiet in your own craft room.
I envy you your ability to quilt, wish I had the patience (and know how) to do it - hope we get to see what you are doing when it is finished or even just part way through.
Take care.
Hugs & Thanks for coming to see me

I love having visitors! I'm luck in having a hubby that really enjoys seeing people too. Glad you had a good time. Nice to see another sewing machine on the desks, I do admire you for quilting. It's something that I do occasionally, I don't mind the patchwork bit but the quilting is not my favourite bit!

Oh, a quilting class. That sounds like a lot of fun. It's something I hope to learn at some point myself. Here's hoping you got all caught up and ready!
Happy crafting
