What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday - WOYWW 169

Hello WOYWWers, Followers and All,

Wednesday and time to show the state of our workdesks again as hosted by the lovely Julia over at the Stamping Ground - do pop over if you've never been before, it's a revelation ... somewhat addictive at that ... of the desks (kitchen/dining tables, cupboards, studios, ateliers, floors even!) stash and projects of an amazing number of crafters who are willing to bear all on a weekly basis :) Here's mine today.

More correctly, this is what my desk looked like at close of play last night. There's the makings of the next cards on my list, card blanks, patterned card, toppers together with the usual tools from the cardmaking arsenal.

In the middle distance is my first set of H2Os - booty brought back from a visit to the craft centre of Sunday :) Not tried them out yet but playtime is scheduled at the weekend - after painting of the lounge is done. I am holed up in the craft space for the duration but on call ... just in case I'm needed to provide some essential service to the decorator, e.g. provide endless cups of coffee :)

The stamp that I've been using a lot this week already is still there, cleaned but needing to be put back on the shelf. Bogdan is still there and still sporting the WOYWW badge - he's now firmly attached to it. And specially for RosC, and anyone else who wondered where it had gone, the chook cupboard is back!

The card I was about to start last night has moved on a bit and, as it is for a challenge, will be posted later today ... when I find a minute. Oh, I've just spotted the mobile phone and the TV remote control ... if it wasn't for this photo I'd have forgotten where they were.

I didn't do so badly last week, I managed to visit and admire a fair proportion of the WOYWWers and I hope to do much the same this week. Apologies if I missed you but time is always an issue - I just do the best I can with what is available :)

That's about it for today - short and sweet, Julia will be pleased:)

Edit Note: silly me, I forgot to put in something about my Cuttlebug because an awful lot of you mentioned the unusual colour - teal and off white.  It is from a very limited edition that Create and Craft offered last year - just at the time I was considering buying one. Needless to say, I love the colour :))

Wishing you all a lovely WOYWW and happy crafting,

Hi Elizabeth....I'm with you on providing lots of cuppas for the workmen....they work harder if well lubricated [a bit like most machines I guess :-) ].

You look ready for some interesting playing there, Elizabeth. I like the coaster sitting next to the sky remote.
Which H20 set did you get? They are gorgeous to play with just make sure you spray them with water and give them a few minutes to activate, the colours are lush and thick then.

Good luck with the decorating..it really is not my favourite thing to do, especially the preparation beforehand....bleurgh!!

It's so grotty down here today that I am having a catch up sewing day. It was so dark at 11am that I had the lights on! So different to that lovely sunny day when you were here :)

Oh Elizabeth, your desk is looking as productive as ever.

You’re going to love those H2O’s if you’ve not used them before. I have a few of the sets and never get tired of painting with them. Did you know you can even get a special mixer that goes with them so you can paint onto glass and acetate.

Happy Crafting!

Happy WOYWW Elizabeth

Your desk is nice and organised and showing wood (unlike Julia's this week lol)!

Not heard of H20's before so not sure what they are or do, I'll have to remember to google it.

Have a lovely evening xx

Oh my goodness...I love the look of the H2O's! You are going to make some fab cards using those.

Those little images are so sweet too...looks like maybe you are going to make a production line again...great idea!

Hope the lounge decorating is going well. Maybe he will finish up soon and you can create all weekend!!!

I think you are lucky to have a fellow who is handy...mine is not handy at all...he is good at many other things...but handy is not his middle name!!! I used to do the painting and decorating but old age takes it's toll (teehee) and now we have to hire it out.

Luckily, I have a really handy son-in-law who comes to do any of the other types or repairs or refurbs!
I try to only ask him to do smaller type jobs though, as it takes his time away from the kiddies.

So, bring on the coffee and count your lucky stars he is the handy type! Can't wait to see the unveiling of the newly decorated lounge.

I like the stamp you've got on your desk Elizabeth.
Lived in our house when we converted it from a bungalow to a two storey house. So I'm hardened to building and decorating work now. Good luck

Hi Elizabeth,

So I wasn't the only one that loved the color of your Cuttlebug!!!

You have a list of cards to make? Now that's organization! I should do the same thing.

As always, I enjoy visiting to see what you've been up to. Thanks for visiting me earlier today. It's still Wednesday here in the US so I'm too far behind...

Hugs,

I am not surprised we all commented on the gorgeous colour of your cuttlebug. Check out Lisa (#93) on how she stores her H2o's very clever idea.
Enjoy your crafty time.

I turned the stamps about as they're the second lot I was stamping for a fellow WOYWWer and I didn't want her to see them!! I can't crochet to save my life and my knitting is a bit dubious at times too!! Have fun with the H2O's, hope the lounge painting got finished.
