2015 Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt - The Last Day

Hello Everyone,

Today is the first day of Autumn and last day of the Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt, the challenge set for us by Rinda over at Gallo Organico. Of the twenty-one items on the list, I've already found and posted fifteen, leaving just six to share with you today.

Unfortunately, there was one item, #4 People playing a board game or card game, I have not been able to find, however, I did manage to photograph an alternative.

#4 Alternative B: Someone holding an umbrella
Fortunately, we don't have to wait too long before there's the need for an umbrella in Scotland ... it rains a lot even in summer. This photo, taken in Eglinton Country Park, is of my husband and daughter standing in a wonderful tree-lined avenue just chatting in the rain, as you do!

#9. A tent
This extended tent was set up for the Scottish Morris Minors Rally at Culzean Castle, Ayrshire. I think it was made for multiple occupancy with a bedroom on the right, a sitting area and an awning to the left which is attached to this, the tiniest of  caravans ...
... possibly providing another bed and maybe a cooking area.

#12. A public restroom, bathroom, or toilet
The spruced up multi-functional public toilets down at Ayr's seafront.

#18. An overloaded truck, car, bicycle or other vehicle
Probably not strictly an overloaded vehicle but that looks like an awful lot of lumber to me.

#20. A natural body of water
Living on the west coast of Scotland I'm fairly spoiled for this challenge so here's just a few of the many photos I've taken.
The River Ayr - photo taken from the metal bridge featured in Part 3.
The Firth of Clyde - photo taken at the seafront in Ayr looking out towards the beautiful Isle of Arran.
The North Channel - photo taken from the cliffs above Portpatrick, on the Rhins of Galloway, looking across the North Channel to the coast of Northern Ireland 21 miles (34 km) to the west of Scotland.

And finally:
# 21. A photograph of you with a sign reading "2015 Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt"
Got my husband to take this photo ... I don't like doing selfies ... in my favourite location, our garden.

And that is it ... all over ... 20 items found and only one substitute needed.

The List for 2015.
1. A bouquet of flowers
2. An ornate door knocker
3. A person walking a dog (or other animal)
4. People playing a board game or card game - Alternative B: Someone holding an umbrella
5. Architectural columns
6. A metal bridge
7. A turtle
8. Someone "plugged in" to social media
9. A tent
10. A college or university
11. A cellular tower or television satellite dish
12. A public restroom, bathroom, or toilet
13. A merry-go-round or carousel
14. A traffic signal
15. A flag pole with at least three flags on it
16. A panoramic view, taken while standing someplace high in the air
17. At least two people wearing matching outfits or uniforms
18. An overloaded truck, car, bicycle or other vehicle
19. A ticket booth
20. A natural body of water
21. A photograph of you with a sign reading "2015 Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt". Note: you may not use a substitute for this item.
And the possible substitutes for all but #21:
Alternative A: People eating outside
Alternative B: Someone holding an umbrella
Alternative C: A rocking chair

If you have missed earlier posts and would like to see the rest of the photographs taken over the summer you can find them here, here and here.

A big thank you to Rinda for organising the hunt and putting together an intriguing list of targets to find. I've had a lot of fun chasing around town and countryside searching out and taking photos of each item. Role on next summer!

I didn't make it last month, although I think it's because your post came in after I was no longer refreshing Rinda's blog. I really enjoyed all your photos, and you did a FANTASTIC job of collecting them. I was so impressed with the names of places, too. What a beautiful country you have!

Great tents - my goodness, you could live in that big one all year round! Well done in finishing, and I've very much enjoyed browsing through your collections.
