Hello December

Hello Everyone

It's howling a gale outside so it's safe to say that being indoors, all warm and cosy, is the best place for me to be today. I hope the weather is rather better for you and you are enjoying your weekend.

I'm sharing a one page layout that was completed way back in December ... it somehow got forgotten. And it is the only layout I've managed to put together to record Christmas 2014 ... I really should try harder!
I've used just a few strips and small pieces of patterned paper from the snippet drawer to put together a very simple page ... unusually for me there's not a lot of layers and no big clusters. The pink/white strips top and bottom were cut at an angle from one wide strip. I raided the Christmas stash for the pretty Christmas lights trim. That is a star printed acetate laid over navy blue spot patterned paper in the background and it's repeated in the punched circle embellishments. I spotted the title phrase on a blogging friends post and thought it just right for this photo showing the date, 1st December, on the perpetual calendar. That's the first Christmas ornament the EM put out before putting up the tree.

I sometimes wonder whether it is worth hanging on to the leftovers, or should they be thrown out and be done with, but I think this layout proves, to me at least, that it is. I'm really pleased with the clean simplicity achieved with so little. It was an exercise worth doing ... pity I haven't scrapped all the other December photos!

Mr Mojo (or should that be Mrs Mojo) is still not firing on all cylinders so not a great deal of creativity going on here just yet! There's lots I want to do, there's just not a lot of creative energy with which to do it.

Thanks for dropping in.

Enjoy your evening.

Happy Crafting,

Beautiful work Elizabeth, well done indeed!
You have been poorly so cant be expected to be bouncing out of your skin and crafting madly.. often we exhaust ourselves endeavouring to keep up with what we think we SHOULD be doing,
every blessing of the LORD on your health and strength too.
Thanks so much for popping over :D and for sharing!

I bet you find something else wonderful to do with the scraps, always worth hanging on to them. Hope your mojo is found very soon, it is a problem when it goes into hiding!
