WOYWW - Week 555

Morning Everyone,

And happy WOYWW to you all too. Yes. So soon! It's Wednesday and therefore the day of the week we get to join in the fun over at Julia's and reveal as much, or as little, as we dare of what's on our desk. And so, for the record, here's mine:.
Here we are fast approaching February and I'm still making pages for December. So many photos, so little time. Not that it's not fun. It is. Especially because there is a great stencil and bright red ink to play with. The Heidi Swapp stencil came included in a mixed media kit last year and this is me just getting around to using it. Without a doubt I have far too many lovely unused goodies. I have no resistance. Which is why one of my goals for 2020 is to try out all unused stash. At least once. Really! It's the very least I can do in justification of all the pocket money spent.

And talking of money spent, here's a cheap little something I picked up at a garden centre at the weekend.
I know it's a make-up organiser but I thought a better use for it might be this:
Stickle storage. The perfect answer to the problem of how to store these little bottles top down. No more of the frustration that comes from trying to squeeze out the contents which stubbornly remain stuck at the bottom of the bottle.

That's it from me this week. I'm off now to see what Julia and our fellow deskers have been showing us today.

Take care everyone and have a great week ahead.

Hi Elizabeth, the storage thingy is a great idea. It's surprising, if we look at everyday stuff with a crafters eye, how much we can actually save on buying storage. Pretty sure if that was 'craft branded' we'd be paying a tenner for it! Love how the scrapbook page is coming along, fab. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #3 X

Good to see someone getting their photos into layouts. I am so behind and I really need to commit! Love the clear organizer you found. You are right about those little bottles that need to be propped up-side-down. I think manufactures need to make the caps on those bottles so we can store them upside down. Have a lovely day.

Hi Elizabeth, I think it's in every crafters thoughts to use up more of our unused stash, I know it's on mine but there's far too much temptation when new things come out. I'm so glad I don't use FB anymore i'd be poorer than I am hee hee.. My Daughter uses those storage trays for her make up, as she recently moved out she left one behind maybe I should recycle it.

Hi Elizabeth, good use of the makeup case. You're so right as Crafters we are able to make a much better use of such items. Wishing you a happy and creative woyww, Angela x16x

I'm loving the layout - those red stars are very striking. That's a great use for the makeup tray, I have to admit I've never thought of storing my little bottles upside down - it makes perfect sense - Oh dear another job to add to the 'to do' list!!
Hope you have a great week,
Diana xx#9

Your layout is so cheery - we need a bit of red on a gloomy foggy day! That little organiser is such a clever idea - well done for spotting it's possibilities! xx Jo

Hello Elizabeth. Thank you so much for popping by my blog, a lovely surprise. A lovely layout, I have been enjoying using red as well with some of my cards.
I too have unused stash and had said I'm not buying much this year, then ' oh look, new stuff, I like the look of that' and there I go again! Oh well no other vices. Anne X #19

I also have a clear plastic makeup holder which I use as a stickles holder!!!
Like your challenge to use at least once all your unused stash-I blame the "enablers" from the WOYWW pages :-)
