December Scrapbook Layout No.7

Hello Everyone,

Another day nearer Christmas and another page for the record.
This one has a photo of our beach taken in one of the few dry days we had in December 2019. The kind of day that, after days of being stuck indoors, makes a walk along the promenade so refreshing.

Materials:
- Plain white cardstock, Mind The Scrap.
- 'Starry Night' stencil, The Dusty Attic.
- Tim Holtz distress ink, 'Iced Spruce'.
- Patterned paper pad, The Works Make & Create Contemporary Christmas 'Happy Holidays' collection; 'Reach for the Stars' from the Bella BLVD To The Moon collection; scraps of papers left over from previous pages.
- Cutfile from Peartree Cutfile Designs.
- Snowman fussy cut from a other leftover.
- The number 7 stamped from an old woodmounted set, origin unknown.
- Shapes: stars die-cut from silver card; circles punched from paper from the same pad as used to make banners.
- Dies from Docraft's 'Stars' nesting die set.

This layout owes a lot to yet another of Lisa Sikorski's sketches. I think I was lucky to find papers that so matched the photo. It made putting the page together a pleasure.

Hopefully I'll be back soon with yet another page in this winter album series of posts.

Take care and stay cosy.

Bye for now,
Elizabeth

Scrapbook Layouts - 29-31/2021

Hello Everyone

I'm back to share more layouts made around May this year when I was taking Shimelle's Half and Half class. Consequently, all three pages have backgrounds made up of two halved sheets of 12x12 paper.

29. For Sewing

This page records both of my sewing machines and so the paper and embellishments used are appropriately from a collection that is sewing and craft related - Simple Stories, Hey Crafty Girl, 'Makers Gonna Make' and the multicolooured thickers for the title are American Crafts 'Journey'.

30. Pampered Pooch

Again, for this page I've used patterned papers and embellishments that are related to the photo of Mylo the Chocolate Labrador looking very sorry for himself after a shampoo and rinse. Papers from two collections - Echo Park, Meow and Mind the Scrap's kit for May 2021 and thickers for title are 'Holly'from American Crafts. The dog and paw embellishments were cut with Dovecraft's dies.

31. Life is Better with a Cat

Celebrating the arrival of the newest member of our family, Silver the kitten, born on 13 March 2021, The photos were taken throughout her first week with us when she was just 8 weeks old. The papers are from Mind the Scraps kit for May 2021, the title is a Peartree Cutfile and the kitten stickers from the Echo Park Meow collection.

And that's it from me today. Short and sweet but will be back with three more layouts very soon.

Take care everyone and stay safe.

Scrap Page 25/2021

 Hello Everyone,

Just a very quick post from me today. I'm still working my way through yesterday's WOYWWers posts and commenting - slow but sure. So here's the next scrap page - this one dated 11th March.

Picture Perfect

Another photo from the last family wedding, in November 2019, before the pandemic. I wonder now when the next one will be; we do have two engaged couples who have had to postpone their plans because of the happenings of the last year. The stand out feature of this page is the fab die-cut from Peartree Cutfiles. I've been debating with myself whether to invest in a machine to make cutfiles like these but I seriously don't think I can justify the expense and the space. For now, I'll stick to purchasing them as and when needed. Patterned paper scraps and embellishments used are from stash.

Now it's kitten time.
This photo was taken on the first day Silver came to live with us. I can't believe how tiny she was but just look at the contrast between her size and hubby's feet!

That's me done for today.

Many thanks, once more, for your visit and your comments - they are always appreciated.

Take care,
