Not In A Vase On Monday - Pretty Primula Pot

Hello Everyone,

I've had a long and very busy weekend so no vase of flowers today. I thought, instead, I'd share these pretty primulas that have been greeting us at our front door for weeks now.
And these:
And here they are hanging by the front door.
In the plant hanger made some few years ago by the EM himself.

Sorry it's so short and sweet today but I have a ton of chores to catch up on and they won't do themselves!

Have a great week.

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - WOYWW Week 357

Afternoon WOYWWers,

I've not blogged for a few days, been a bit under the weather, but today's Wednesday, and we all know what day that means ... it's WOYWW day! It's one of those days in the week I really don't like to miss ... so I've given myself a bit of talking too, got the camera out, and snapped the old desk as is today.
Back to showing just the part I'm working on. And it might look somewhat familiar too. The layout has featured before, but that was quite a few weeks ago and it was a project in process at the time. Now it's completed and the pile of stuff beside it is made up of the leftovers waiting to be put away.
The windmill embellishments are handmade. I thought they went perfectly with the theme of all the fun of the fair.
This layout was created using a Project Life pocket page. I don't do PL - would never find the time to record my life on a daily basis, or even weekly, but I have found they are a brilliant way of getting photos out of storage and into albums.
Here's both pages side-by-side as they will appear in the album.

So that's the desk for this week - a bit of a photo heavy post but light on chat which is a blessing, I'm sure.

Many thanks to everyone who left a comment last week. I did try to respond but my old PC was on a go-slow, frozen at times, so I've had to do a bit of maintenance, i.e. deleting of an awful lot of old files. The job is ongoing but it does seem a lot happier today - fingers crossed!

Happy WOYWW,

Friday Smiles

Evening Everyone,

I'm joining in with Annie's Friday Smile, albeit a tad late in the day. My computer has been playing up these last two days. It's old, 7 years old, and starting to run a bit slow ... a bit like your truly, I guess ... so I've been doing a bit of clearing out of old files and it's proving a long and time consuming job! Still, it's like spring cleaning, it just has to be done.

On to what's made me smile this week. Usually I have a struggle deciding which photo(s) to choose to show but this week it's really easy.

It had to be these two photos of my lovely granddaughter-in-law, Heather, after passing her driving test - first time! Could there be a bigger smile!!!

And the funny for this week is a poem written by one of my all-time my heroines, Maya Angelou. With just a couple of years till I hit the sparkling seventies this could have been written with me in mind :)

Have a wonderful weekend,
