Ribbons, Bows and Baubles - a card for CHNC Challenge

Afternoon All,

Hazel, over at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge #122, is looking for ribbons and bows this week. Thought I'd post my card with it's ribbons, bows and baubles today, before I missed the deadline :)

It's another card featuring a decoupage topper from Just Inklined. The base of the card has been stamped and heat embossed with a fir branch stamp but it isn't showing up too well in the photographs.

It does look glittery and glistening in real life!  With these kits there isn't a lot to do but make it up. I have added iridescent glitter to the detail on the baubles and even sprinkled some round the pine needles for a more festive look. With a bell attached to the bow on some bakers' twine it tinkles prettily when shaken.

Materials used: Christmas Canvas card kit from Just Inklined; Mid green card base; VersaMark, fir branch stamp from Sheena's A Little Bit Sketchy 2 Faith, crystal embossing powder; red/white bakers twine; gold bell and gold cord; glue pen and iridescent glitter

So that's my CHNC submission for this week - a quick and simple little make.

Oops! Almost forgot to mention that I'm also submitting the card to Hazel's Extra Challenge for May.

I have a bit of catching up to do today after taking the afternoon off yesterday. We played hooky with our friends, once they had returned from the hospital in Glasgow, and paid a visit to our local garden centre where we treated ourselves coffee and cake.

Many thanks for the messages wishing Brian good luck for his hospital appointment. It would seem he has a hole in the retina of his right eye which may require an operation some time in the future, but for now the decision is to just 'wait and see'.

Okay ... no time to waste, lots to do ...

Take care everyone and happy crafting,

  3. Great card.
Wait and see is standard these days for all doctors. It's no use to the patients though.
Mind you you all got to play hooky. Where did you go? Cardwell?
