WOYWW Week 845 - A Busy Week

Hello WOYWWers, Followers, Everyone

I hope this finds you all well and that you've found the time to be more creative than I have these last few weeks. That's not to say I haven't been busy. I really have. There's just no scrap pages to show for all the busy-ness! Instead, I've forced myself to tackle the black hole that is the shed at the top of the garden. There's boxes in that shed, the contents of which haven't seen the light of day since October 2022. Contents like the file of stencils and box of shimmer mists that can be seen on my desk this morning. I can't tell you how delighted I was to find them again!

I've been tackling the emptying of one box at a time with the aim to clear the shed completely by the end of August. It's been quite the eye-opener too. The shed is leaky, not to mention crawling with spiders, and far from the ideal place to store anything, let alone my lovely crafty stash! The plan is to replace it with a new, clean and dry, shed once everything has been sorted and cleared.
Rain, rain, go away.
Come again another day.

Storm Floris and the generally bad weather that followed has meant there's been very little gardening done. Everything got a thorough drenching and was looking bedraggled following the high winds.
But, now the sun is out again and the garden is getting over the damage, flowers like these sweet peas and cornflowers have perked up again.

Here's a photo taken from Saltcoats this week.
I'm not sure what the RNLI were doing up our way but it's always concerning to see the lifeboat out. There's been no news report, so I think this time all was well.

What with storms, fires and the frequent appearance of the rescue services, there's rarely a dull moment here in The Three Towns.
But on a quiet summer's day there's nothing lovelier than the South Beach, Ardrossan.

Silver hated the stormy weather.
She's over it now and off out chasing butterflies.

And finally,
This mirrors exactly how we both felt during the horrible weather.

Silver has perfected the above!

That's enough from me today, I'm sure. To see more creative workdesks pop over to Sarah's blog, Sarah's Craft Shed. If you don't already do so, feel free to join in the fun and show us what's on your workdesk this Wednesday. You'll be made most welcome.

Have a great WOYWW day and a fabulous week everyone,

Take care everyone,
Elizabeth

Hope you get to the bottom of the shed boxes on time. I'm doing the exact opposite as clearing craftcorner so the wall problem can be addressed, had condensation running down it last Winter. Gorgeous posy my fav colours. We still need rain here just had a bit of thunder and lightening and a bit of a downpour but nothing significant and it's still so warm too, hating it. Hugs BJ#5

Wonderful to find lost stash! The top picture is me at the moment, sing with me “Too darn hot …”. What film was that from? I will have harness the powers of Google! Hugs Angela #12

Hooray for going through stored boxes of stash, looks like you uncovered some real treasures, now all you need is the time to sit down and appreciate it all! Your flowers are lovely, they did well to get through the storm relatively unscathed. The cat cartoons made me hoot, especially the personal trainer!

I don't think you will be the only one that finds lost stuff, I usually find things when looking for something else. It looks cooler where you are, it's been just too hot today here to do much but got a few things done this morning. I smiled at the cat on the laptop as my friend's cat used to do that all the time which can be a problem when you're in the middle of doing something for work. Hugs to Silver and happy woyww to you. Hope you sort the shed and your shimmer mists still work - and nothing is ruined from the damp. hope the storms and bad weather didn't create too much havoc. Happy WOYWW Helen #1

I am the cat with the mug!
Ugh! sorting things out in a shed full of spiders is not my ideal job as what treasure is at the end of it all. You are so brave!
Your flowers are lovely Elizabeth. I seem to remember you often having flowers for us to enjoy.
The south beach at Ardrossan looks a big open expanse, ideal for me to try out my scooter on.
Am not surprised Silver did not like the bad weather but her chasing butterflies sounds lyrical. Give Silver a tickle under the chin from me please.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

Well done for your clear out! Bella looks at us when it rains as if to ask us to open the sunshine door. Love your cartoons!
Have a good week

Lovely to find lost stash - abut two weeks ago I unearthed some Lindy's Sprays that had never been activated. And still haven't though they are sitting on the corner of my desk giving me reproachful looks. Oh heavens it'll only take 10 minutes!!
Good luck with the shed clearing - esp with all the spiders!
Little Lionel did give me a few extra grey hairs that day - obviously we are entering that age (I hate to say terrible 2s, so negative) when they are becoming more aware of self and their own desires but don't yet have the skills to moderate their behaviour. Most of the time he is a little chatty ray of sunshine, I can't be cross for long but I certainly can do without that level of drama! Have a great week, love n hugs Cindyxx #9
