What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - Week 674

Hello WOYWWers, Fellow Crafter's and All,

It's been a long while. I've missed participating in Julia's WOYWW over on The Stamping Ground while I've been taking a bit of a break from blogging . I hope this finds you all well and that you enjoyed all the recent holidays.

And here's what's on my desk today.

Not a scrapbook project as you might expect from me but a stamping one instead. I spotted this stamp on Instagram a few weeks ago and just had to have it. It's from The English Stamp Company - not one I'd heard of before.
I have made seed packets before, years ago, using a Microsoft programme I no longer have since I changed computer. So stamping onto blanks seemed a good alternative. The seed packet template was found online - there's a lot to choose from, some with the design already done for you. Who knew! Not me. There's a lot of very helpful gardeners blogging just this sort of thing.

It's springtime here in Scotland. Time to be sewing seeds so you might be thinking I'm a tad early with plans to harvest them. Well, not so. Our many aquilegia plants are just about to flower and in a few short weeks will be setting seed. It's never too early to get cutting out and making up more of these wee packets ready for the harvest. I'm thinking they will make lovely gifts.

And talking of the garden, here's Silver enjoying playing among the weeds.
And smelling the new leaves of a clematis.
She is enjoying the better weather, as am I. It's so good to get out in the sunshine and Silver likes the company. Saying that, today it's drizzling.

No book this week. It's not that I've not been reading/listening, it's just that I haven't prepared. I'm out of practice. For the same reason, there's no funnies. Note to self: must do better.

An update on our health issues here. Alan is still struggling. He is in constant pain, source being investigated, and he has a really troublesome cough at night which interrupts his sleep (mine too). As for me, apart from being sleep deprived, I'm doing okay.

I hope you are all well and enjoying the better weather - I'm so glad winter is finally over. Apologies to those of you down under where winter is on its way.

Take care and stay safe.

I am very sad to hear that Alan is still so poorly Elizabeth, it takes its toll on everyone, especially not sleeping, that’s a toughie. I hope you can some some help and answers soon. I am so sorry to hear Alan is suffering like that. I knew things were not right with him but to be like that for two years is no joke. If it happened now he wouldn't be so poorly as he would have the vaccine in him to help. I do hope they can do something to help with the pain. and the cough for both your sakes.
Silver is looking beautiful as always what pretty photos and how lovely that she likes company when out of doors.
Love the seed packets and the decoration is just perfect for them. What a lovely idea, must make some myself for the millions of poppy seeds I collect each year. A good idea to send them on as gifts too.
Take care, missed you blogging but kept up with Instagram.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

Sorry to hear Alan's not so good at the moment and hope he feels better soon. I have heard of the stamp company but not had anything from them. The weather has been good here too though we have had some rain this afternoon which is the first time in several weeks. Lovely to see Silver enjoying the nice weather too. I am a bit late getting round to my WOYWW desks. Happy to send you a little ATCs when the time comes but I don't need one in return - no doubt little sis will post with me too. It will be a cheery little something to brighten your day. I am so sorry to hear Alan is poorly and really feel for you - sleep disturbance is horrid and just slows you up for the rest of the day. I hope the medics can help sort him out. Hugs to you both. xx Jo

I had some little tiny brown envelopes to put seeds in...only...even with the lid sealed the slugs got in the container and nibbled them all! Wishing your hubby well, and hope he's on the bend. Thank you for your visit too! Happy WOYWW Stay Safe ((Lyn)) #5
