Late to the party today - no real excuse, just running late.
Not much to show today but here it is for your delectation.
Actually, it's a rare sighting of the other worktop as I dare not show you my workdesk - it's tooooo shameful!
Yesterday I was tidying up and I got a bit distracted, ended up die-cutting quite a chunk of my card snippets. So what you see is an array of dies spread around the Cuttlebug, some of the plates and the tan mat, my trusty scissors and Ottlite - wouldn't be without either - a tile I use for watercolouring, various pots and tubs of buttons, card candi and gems, cocktail sticks, a huge pot of clear embossing powder and, just visible, a tube of dew drops. Oh, and those bits of lilac sticking to the edge of the worktop - that is low-tack tape for keeping the dies in position.
That's it - brief as required by our head desk keeper, Julia. Interested, intrigued and don't know what WOYWW is all about, you can find out more by visiting Julia at the Stamping Ground - enjoy the experience!
Last week was a much interrupted week so apologies to those of you I didn't manage to visit. Hope to do better this week. In fact, I'm starting my

Hi Elizabeth....think we all get distracted from time to time [I'm supposed to be making huge covers for foam seat pads at the mo and here I am blog hopping!].

Followed a link from scrappymo's WOYWW desk to find you, after admiring your lovely sewing card! Lovely to see your 'secondary' worktop - there's no shame in a mess, though... I'd love to know what the first one looks like!!

Hi Elizabeth!
Nice dies you have there. I just started buying the silhouttes a few months ago. They are simply gorgeous.
You know, I need to by an Ott lite. I have a task lamp but thinking with all the coloring I do, I need the Ott so I don't strain my eyes any further. I might need a seeing eye dog at this rate!!
I am a very bad girl today, I didn't post a link to my site because I didn't have much to show so no worries if you visit my site.
Belinda
Well I like the look of this desk Elizabeth.
Thanks for visiting.

Ohhh I do like your blue bug such a nice change from the green. You have a wonderful collection of dies and I also have an ottlite which is a desk essential. Have a lovely week.

Sounds like you've been incredibly productive with your die cutting. Need desparately to do a 'session' too. Don't worry about the mess on your (other) desk - we are all there with you (had a quick tidy before taking my photo! then thought that was daft of me). Hugs, Buttons #81
Tidy, organised and busy there on your desk. A nice little snoop today and I hope all is well for you and your family,
love JoZarty x
I was looking everywhere for a green Cuttlebug! Love your blue one and your wonderful array of dies. Great tidy space too, even if it is your other one .....Happy WOyWw, Anne x #32

Glad i'm not the only one on a die-cutting mission.. But it does seem to take forever.. don't you think, Love the blue bug, not seen it in that colour b4.

Wow, I like the look of all those dies :) xx
Hehe, I usually get distracted when I try to tidy up too. Still die cutting is a good kind of distraction!
Have a good week

Oh I love my thin dies, I spy a Marianne rose die there too, I love mine and had a tendency to use it on everything lol...I weened myself off that now though. :)

Hi Eliazabeth, we all can get distracted from time to time but not to worry and you have lots of dies!! mind sharing them.....lol xx
Great desk, but I want to see the shameful one!! Have a good week. Helen, 19
Love all of those dies Elizabeth, there are some gorgeous designs to see, TFS.
Happ WOYWW, thanks for stopping by xx
What a fabulous woyww post. Love to see Spellbinders dies 'cos I know something amazing will emerge from the cut card. Happy woyww, late in the day or not.
Hugs Joanne xx
What a lovely tidy desk, Elizabeth. All ready for action. Believe me, life is a little calmer than it has been, although I did complicate things by having my hair chopped today, and it is our grandson's birthday tomorrow. OK, forget the calm bit It is manic again. Good to be back, though. xx #102
That's a fine selection of dies you have there Elizabeth!! I particularly like the curlicues by the lovely leaf. Hope you've had fun using your snippety stash up :)
And you're right, 7 is a stupid number of shows but I want to use up my fabric stash!!
Hugs, LLJ #71 xx
I have never seen a blue cuttlebug. You have some lovely dies too.
Carol
Glad you liked my dragonfly pic - I agree it was a bit Monet-ish. It just seemed to fit the request and I had so much fun making it. x Jo
I think we all want to see the shameful one!! Two desks, lucky thing! Good idea using die cuts on your snippets pile. I need to have a butterfly session with my tiniest snippets! Thanks for stopping by! Happy WOYWW from Victoria no.87
It’s easy to get distracted isn’t it Elizabeth, I often do too.
It looks like the old Cuttlebug has been working overtime but just think how organized you’ll be when you need that special die cut.
Thanks for stopping by this week.
Happy Crafting!

WooHoo love that desk top! I really love dies of any sort and have a collection I need to use more often!! Have a great week and thanks for coming to by blog for a visit! Vickie #68
Oh it is fun to see the other desk. I have one side I rarely show as it gets a bit stacked up with things that need filed and put away.
I made a post about your lovely present...it was just so wonderful of you!
The lilac ape to steady the dies is a great idea. We have something called frog tape over here in Canada...I think it is probably the same thing. It is a type of low tack tape that never peels the paint off etc. I am now going out to snitch some from the garage. teehee
Hi Elizabeth. Thank you for popping by fellow Donny fan!! I missed him on TV - but I agree he is wearing well. I went to a concert in Nottingham featuring the Osmonds and David Cassidy and others from the era a couple of years ago. It was a very strange experience being among lots of women the same age 40 - 50. I actually wondered why I missed liking David Essex as he still has a cheeky charisma.
I love your blue cuttle bug - I didn't know he came in that flavour!!
WOYWW Hugs to you from Helen 15
That's a good idea to have a snippets die cut sessions (think I might do that soon). Thanks for visiting me and leaving the comment. It was my birthday on Monday - we enjoyed our day out today. Thanks for sharing your workspace. Hope you have a good week. Hazel WOYWW #8 x
Hi Elizabeth,
Your desk is very tidy, considering all the craft that you do! Thank you for coming by my blog earlier!
Happy WOWWW!

I really love the blue cuttlebug you have there - not that I would be without my little green number. Thanks for the snoop - Anne x #145
A great selection of dies you have there, are you just cutting to use the card up or is there another purpose
janet#59
Thanks for stopping by and PHEW I made it to your desk at last. Only just manageing to reply to all those who have already come to me! It's what you get when you are a low number I have found - LOL.
Purple low tac tape eh? Is it really low tac? I bought some in Robert Dyas at great expense and am sure it is more tacky than usual masking tape!

Have a good week, Hugs May x x x#4
I've never seen a blue cattlebug... great selection of dies Elizabeth.. Great way to use up card snippets.. Thank you for your visit and have a happy week, Hugs May x x x#4
Hi Elizabeth,
Now how did you score a blue cuttlebug? Mine is still out on the t.v. tray surrounded by dies and embossing folders. I just bought a TH set of dies and haven't used them. Gotta get busy!
Thanks for visiting me. I was so shameful that I didn't even show a corner of my desk!
Hugs,
Kay
Oh to have a selection of dies like that - what a wonderful sight!!! Thanks for sharing WOYWW! Karen T 96 x
I know I should comment on your blue cattlebug because everyone seems to be thrilled seeing it but I have to admit I don't have a clue what you do with it? Does it make toast?
There's obviously a lot of creativity and fun going on!
Thanks for sharing and visiting my desk earlier ~ Happy WOYWW to you ;D

Morning Elizabeth! You'll be glad to know I'm in the middle of tiding up...'in the middle of it' !! there's just no time! You have some fabulous dies, I need some more, I', getting a bit bored with my square and round ones! I have an old BIGSHOT and use cardboard so I can cut and emboss at the same time, as I don't have to 'real' plates to put Nesties through, have a lovely crafty week...happy woyww

That must be a new design cuttlebug, the one I had was green and white. Have fun cuttlebugging

What a wonderful selection of photographs Elizabeth, you live in such a beautiful area :o)

That's a very good use for all those snippets Elizabeth, I punch the really tiny pieces with either a flower or a snowflake punch, they don't even make it to the snippets drawer that way! I agree about the wood stamps on my desk, I love then despite the space they take up! Had to laugh at your story of the sub! I hope the had sonar on and new you were there! We had a very odd conversation with the people in the seaplane as they turned out to be German ex pats, and us and our friends are British expats! Oddest conversation to be having in the middle of a lake between people in tiny boats and people on a plane, sitting there with their legs dangling out of the cockpit whilst eating sarnies!

I think it is the natural way for us crafters to be distracted, we just like too many lovely pretty things! Happy crafting #79

hugs,

Happy Belated WOYWW. Your 'other desk' looks very creative and tidy to me. Love the blue Cuttlebug. I am lucky enough to have one of the rare pink ones! Ali x #55
You have a great selection of dies there Elizabeth - and is that a special edition cuttlebug - haven't seen one in those colours before?
Bernice #140
You're late - no, I'm late! I thought the tape pieces were little leaves cut from something self adhesive..see, no glasses by the computer this morning!
Hi there, its because we have so much amazingly fantastic stash that we get distracted. You see, we all want to clean, but then we find these amazing things we forgot we had and... well, the reat is history.
Happy belated WOYWW!

As I get older my Ottlite keeps climbing higher on my "must have" tools :D. Beautiful die sets you have there. I have not yet triedthe embossing side of mine. Thanks for visiting my blog. The ornament was returned because it wasn't a ribbon winner. At the State Fair they only display honorable mentions and higher, so I really wasn't put out at all, but thank you for your encouragement :D. Happy (belated) WOYWW! #37
Hi Elizabeth!! A blue Cuttlebug? I've never seen a blue one! How pretty! And look at all your dies...FUN!!! I just got a Big Shot last month, but haven't gotten any dies for it...they're SO expensive. I'll get there though!
Thanks for your sweet words! So sad that you don't have garage sales in Scotland, but I bet a car boot sale is similar. We just had our own garage sale this weekend. It was A LOT of work, but I got rid of 16 years worth of accumulation! Way more than I would have ever been able to fit in my car! It all barely fit on my driveway...And I have a long driveway!!!
I've been reading a fictional series about Scotland (and time travel) in the 1700's and since the author is from the US, I don't know how accurate any of it is, but it all sounds SO BEAUTIFUL! I would love to visit there one day. And now I have to wait another year for the next book to be released!!
