Christmas Alphabet - K for Kiss

Hi Everyone,

My, but it's parky today ... sunny but cold ... keying with cold fingers and that's with the heating on! Autumn is definitely on its way out and winter is fast approaching and only 54 days to Christmas :)

Today's card is a quick and simple one ... the cute kissing couple, a digital stamp, handily found in my stash box, already coloured, so all I had to do was glitter up the hat bobbles/trim and fluffy boot tops with some of the ultra-fine iridescent glitter acquired at the craft show on Friday. The leaves were also found in my stash ... the result of occupying myself usefully whilst watching TV :)  The dewdrops make lovely holly berries.

Inside
The Christmas tree decorating the inside was cut out from an off-cut of the DP.

Back

Materials used:
  • Cardstock: 5"square bought green card base: light red pearlescent card for matting; smooth white card for printing out digi stamp; brown card - punched leaves
  • DP: Papermania Festive Frolics
  • Stamps: Digi Stamp Boutique, Eddie and Jemima Xmas Kiss; Joanna Sheen, Giordano Wonderful Christmas (G10714); ProMarkers; VersaFine ink pad, Olympia Green
  • Embellishments: Green edge-stitched grosgrain ribbon (Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn); fine white iridescent glitter; punched leaves; Doodle dewdrops, red
Appropriately enough, given the theme of this card, as I'm typing this there's a pair of beautiful collared doves perched on our bird-feeder ... I could be wrong, but I believe they mate for life, ahhh!

Many thanks to Di and Marie-Louise for coming up with a method of dealing with the cowboy-induced damage to our ceiling - it's much appreciated and the EM is now on a mission to source the recommended product at the DIY stores :)

Okay, time for another cuppa and then it's onwards and upwards ... the first eleven letters done, just fifteen more to go.

Happy Crafting,

  3. So sweet Elizabeth - and so true that your lovely finishing touches just make a card! Thanks for reminding me that I have red dewdrops for holly when my red pearls run out - nice to have the memory nudged :) Good luck with the ceiling, I hadn't heard of the stuff before our (lady) decorator came up trumps. Happy spraying to the EM - it smells strong but worked a treat for us! Di xx
