Keeping true to my resolve to make a Christmas card a week I have just completed this for Week 3.
Materials used:
- Cardstock: White for base, silver embossed card for matting
- Design Paper: Decorative Christmas Trees from Making Cards The Nancy Watt Collection - topper from same collection
- Embellishments: 1" (2.5cm) wide white organza ribbon; blue & crystal gems; silver hologram glitter and iridescent glitter
The photographs are not good - taken just a couple of hours ago under unnatural light - but this turned out to be a very pretty card. The fold back shortfall type card is something new for me and actually quite easy to make once I got started - my Hougie board came in very useful once again. The blue/silver/white combination is gorgeous and the bling on the topper is sparkling.
I plan to enter this for the following challenges:
My Crafty Outlook's Christmas Challenge (if I'm on time) - theme Snowy Trees Scene - I think I just scrape through on this one because they are snowy white trees.
Snoflake's Christmas Card Challenge on Docrafts.
I think I will leave you with a photo of Bonnie supervising me while I work.
As you can see she has completely recovered from her recent surgery and is now as bossy as ever.
Must rush to link this with the challenges before the deadline but I will be back tomorrow with what I think is something rather special.
Bye for now
Elizabeth
