What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - Week 654

Hello Everyone,

And happy WOYWW to you all. It's my favourite day of the week, even if it does seem to come faster the nearer we get to Christmas - where do the other six days go? - when you all share your desks and/or the projects you are working on with our Head Desker, Julia, on the Stamping Ground

This has to be a brief share this morning. That's because there's not much on my desk right now, as you can see.

Just a few labels stamped with numbers 1-7. They are to add to the wrappings for the Week of Books I make up for my great-grandchildren every year. I'm not sure when they will be delivered this year. Alan's still not allowed to drive so we are not able to deliver them personally, as we did in previous years. We are in a form of near lockdown here so it's going to be another Christmas like last year ... dismal! I keep telling myself that it will pass, in just 6 days the days will start to lengthen again and in a few more weeks it will be Spring. There's still much to be grateful for.

And speaking of being grateful, here's the kitten pic for this week.
Alan too. This was her playing peek-a-boo with him. She's quite the personality!

Finally, the funnies.

Hope these made you smile.

Take care everyone and have a lovely week.

  1. The funnies made me hoot, especially the hot tub!! That pic of Alan and Silver made me smile, I don’t know who’s having the most fun there :-D. Love the little tags you’ve done but feel a bit sad that you won’t be able to deliver them. Blooming Covid, we don’t want to risk anything either so are keeping out of the madness. Roll on Spring!

  2. Oh what a lovely pic of Allan and the kitten - so glad he is feeling better and looking well now! Let's hope we can get the other side of this miserable virus. We are keeping well away from any big get togethers. Just Xmas lunch with Max and co - hopefully! xx Jo

  3. It’s been such a busy day for me (it started at 8 am with my first of many customers). I’ve been head down sewing all day but have stopped to eat and blog now.
I really love the photo of two of the loves in your life and the funnies are brilliant.

  6. Sad to hear you are almost locked down. We're still doing good here but cases are up.

  8. The hot tub…love that idea!! A week of books is such a marvellous idea and gift E, makes for a wonderful tradition too. Bet you have a lot of pleasure picking the books as the children grow. It’s a lovely pic of the kitty and a great pic of Alan too! I hope that near lockdown sees you safe this Christmas, it’s strange isn’t it how different governments are setting different rules. England doesn’t have a strong enough leader to resist the economists I don’t think.

  9. Oh the week of books sounds great, what a lovely idea. Are they far? Could you post them? The 3 languages are fun, I've done Welsh and French before so it's the Hebrew I'm really learning from scratch. Using the others to help me on the game side of the App and learning as a by product.. 10. I love the idea of a week of books - I yearn for the days when we had littlies in our family and they loved being read to - now they are pretty much grown up and it's all about the phones! I loved the funnies, especially the hot tub.
Hope you have a good week,
    Diana xx #12

  11. The funniest are funny - made my day! Kitty is so cute - what would we do without cats! I always find it such a contradiction that the days are starting to get longer on the first day of Winter! By then it feels like you getting out of winter, but you're actually going into it! Just hang in there, it won't for ever! Thanks for your visit earlier! Hope you have a good week! xx zsuzsa #17

  12. Great funnies, especially the Santa one. Though I am sure Father Christmas would not have time to relax in a jacuzzi on Christmas Eve. Love the kitten playing peek a boo. Angela #11
