What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday - Week 651

Hello Everyone,

I'm writing this on Tuesday evening in the hope of being able to post early to the Stamping Ground for Julia's WOYWW weekly meme on Wednesday morning, just for a nice change. With my abysmal track record this could be a small miracle.

This was what was on my desk late Tuesday afternoon and with the exception of the card, now finished, nothing has changed. (Check out the previous post to see the card.)

The papers are leftovers from the scrap page finished recently - a page that only took me four years to finish! There's only a few sheets, some cut-aparts and lots of scraps left so, rather than put it all away I decided to make a few Christmas cards with it. The collection is an ancient Graphic 45 one, 'Christmas Emporium', from 2011.

Elsewhere on the desk are the necessities of cardmaking - ribbon, twine, stamp block with stamp, adhesive tape runner, pencil, scissors, and the usual dish full of bits and bobs ... the kind of thing that needs to be returned to its rightful place if only I had time.

And now, here's the kitten pic of the week.

On the table, and she knows she shouldn't be there so she's giving me the, 'you know if I look at you with my big kitten eyes you can't be mad at me', treatment.

And finally, the funnies.

Just the two today, and neither anything to do with cats too.

I don't believe it, it's still Tuesday night and that's the post written, ready to publish early tomorrow. Which means I will have all day to visit as many desks as possible. I'm pleased to report that I did get round everyone from last week and, with the exception of one, left comments too. Things are looking up.

Take care everyone and have a very happy WOYWW.

Bye for now ...
Elizabeth

  1. Two great funnies there Elizabeth.
Now that's a good idea you had to use your left over bits for Christmas cards, I would think that, even if it took four years for the LO it proved positive in the end.
    Lovely picture of the kittie.
    Hugs, Neet 2 xx

  3. Ah well done E, organised and ready…just on the day that I’m rather late with the post, sorry! I love the idea of using up the papers for cards, the panels are just perfect aren’t they, and so so good to not have to put them away for another age! Super impressed at your Scrap Backwards pages, I really must get back into t, I’ve done so little this year. That kitty is definitely bigger than when I laser saw her and yes, I agree that the look on her face is exactly as you say!

  7. Four years to complete a project sounds okay to me. I am for ever finding stuff that I have completely forgotten and sometimes can't even remember starting it so it must be ages ago. Then you mentioned Graphics 45 and I'm guilty there too as I have loads of those papers that I need to use so as you can see I'm far more naughty Lol! Loving your kitty too, so sweet. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x14x

  11. Hi Elizabeth! I must have missed when you got that adorable kitten! What is her name? I love Graphic 45 images, and you used them very well on your cards! I don't have any Christmas ones - yet! The funnies are funny, especially the poor woman smothered under her quilting fabrics. Lets hope we would be found long before our Hubbie's tummies started rumbling! LOL! Have a great week, Lindart #23

  13. Well done for being early, lol! I love your cards, even better that you used up stash as well. Silver is very cute but that’s a very calculating look on her face!

  14. Thanks for your visit, Elizabeth! Don't even get me started on the vets - once they made me pay £70 for an appointment that took less than 3 minutes with a prescription of a steroid cream that was available on the internet for less than £10! Absolute vultures just because they know you need them to help you! Preying on the vulnerable - totally unethical, if you ask me. Love your Christmas paper stash - and what a cutie on your desk. Oreo usually gets up to no good when he wants attention and he's not getting it - he knows he will get it when he does something naughty LOL - crafty little devils! Have a lovely week! xx zsuzsa #20
