What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - Week 600

Happy 600 everyone. Sending congratulations to Julia and all you lovely deskers on this very special What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. And a massive thank you to Julia for dreaming up the idea and for keep it going for almost 12 years now. That's 600 reasons to celebrate!

There's not much on my desk today.

I've put away the general stash and brought out the seasonal stuff because the aim for December is to scrap the photos from past winters and Christmases that haven't been scrapped yet. It's a fair sized pile and should keep me busy over the next few weeks. It's all old stash. Some part used, some never used at all. My intention is to use no new goodies until the old is completely gone. We'll just see how well I do by the end of the month. I've made a start with this page.
These photos of DH and I behaving like big kids are from 1995. They were taken when I was home for Christmas from college in Massachusetts. After being held up at the airport in Boston by bad weather, the plane had to be de-iced twice before we were allowed to leave, I came home to yet more snow.

And here's a page that's been added to the 2020 album - dubbed the Covid album.
This is our doctor on a home visit. She's wearing full PPE and making light of it even though she found it very uncomfortable. I've never been so grateful to see her as that day. DH was so ill with the virus.

And finally, here's a few festive photos to get me in the mood.
A near neighbour couldn't wait to cheer up the neighbourhood.
Every little boy needs a Christmas tree in his bedroom.
Mylo looks confused - what's this all about.

And finally, Christmas has come to Casa Worthington.
So that's it for another week. Another WOYWW with many more to come. Thanks to Julia for hosting for the 600th time and thanks to everyone who has visited and commented for as long as I have been participating.

Have a wonderful WOYWW.

  7. Hi Elizabeth. Happy 600th! What an amazing achievement this all is. I do love the pages - well done for being brave enough to scrap your GP in full regalia! That must have been an incredibly worrying time for you. I trust the EM is now much more himself... ready for the snow, which, according to the weather forecast, should soon be hitting!
Great Christmas decorations surrounding you and your neighbours and family!
    Take care. God bless.

  10. Oh your tree is gorgeous. And I can’t help but love the photo of the tree in his bedroom, absolutely joy! Makes me smile just thinking about it. Good Move with using up the stash Over the coming month, I bet you get loads done. I think I work better with a limited stash, it makes me employ my stamps and etc much more, and possibly use stuff that it may pass over if I was in ‘use anything’ mode. Have to mention the Covid LO too, what a marvellous one it is, and all respect to your GP, I can feel your relief in her visit in the words you wrote. Yep, essential, indispensable and utterly amazing.

  11. Your scrapbook pages look wonderful, I've never attempted scrapbooking, I feel a little daunted by the prospect!
Your decorations look beautiful, I must decorate my tree today, I managed to get it down from the loft yesterday and after a little TLC to some components (it's on its 45th Christmas) assembled it, which takes no time at all! I'll try to post pics of it next week!
Happy WOYWW 600 and Stay safe!

  16. Happy 600th WOYWW. A great idea using up the old stuff first, I had the same idea, but I have too much old stuff 🤣. Lovely to see the Christmas decorations, my little chihuahua loves to “steal” things and she has had plenty of opportunity while the Tree was being decorated. Take care Angela #42

  18. Well done on using up stash-I am doing the same with fabric and yarn. It’s a good feeling to know that nothing is wasted. We’re still locked down in Lanarkshire so plenty of time for crafting. Ayr will be pur first port of call with the van when we are allowed out. X
