What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - Week 592

 Hello Everyone,

Wednesday afternoon - again!  And another chance to snoop around all your crafty desks/tables/floors with the help of Julia, our revered Head Desker, on What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday over on the Stamping Ground.

On my desk today. The photo was actually taken on Tuesday afternoon. You can see the sunlight was bright, so much so I had to lower the window blind. Such a shame because sunshine has been scarce recently around this little corner of Scotland. There's a latte, there has to be a latte. It's my current favourite tipple. And it's only another partly done scrapbook on the desk. It's for a little private challenge I'm participating in. The background is a messy inky one using the packaging technique and yellow liquid watercolour (a Pinkfresh product). The stamp set on the left is Artisan Textures (from Stampin' Up) waiting to be used on the background too.

As if by magic, here's the finished page.

Have I mentioned my love of latte? This page makes me happy. The colours, especially that yellow, are so cheerful. Yellow has, up till now, been my least favourite colour. Certainly one I'd never wear! But it's now a colour I use often in scrapbook pages. I can only put it down to all the bad stuff we've been through this summer. The brightness of yellow lifts the spirits.

And finally:

I can't argue with that!

That's all for now.

  1. That is the best LO I have seen for a while, I adore the yellow and all the different patterns and embellishments - I think you can tell that you enjoyed doing this one very much, it leaps off the page! It's funny but I have a love hate relationship with yellow too and would never ever wear it but recently, it's not so bad. Maybe it does make you feel better in these crazy times...orange and purple feature in my colour loves at the moment. So glad you're enjoying your crafting, me too!

  4. Hi Elizabeth. And here was me thinking you had been having fun with splattering paint around from the end of a paintbrush... But what a great page. Those colours are so vibrant - well done. I love yellow - and quite frequently wear it too. Well done. I like your "and finally" too...
    Take care. God bless.

  11. That is such a fab LO, there is no part of it I dont like. Yellow has always been my favourite colour. But I don’t wear it or use it at home. I just love it because its so cheery. Yellow flowers make me swoon from the beauty and burst of colour! I like the idea of a private challenge too - did you set parameters or think up sketches? I need boundaries!!

  12. Hi Elizabeth, love the layout. I have to admit not really being a yellow person either. I think it all depends on the shade, really. Yours is a nice cheery, but not in your face yellow, the layout looks fab. A fellow coffee addict here too, lol. Stay safe, Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5. X

  15. That's a very good layout, Elizabeth, with a great colour scheme, excellent composition and lots of good white space! Great job. Sorry for the late visit but I've been very busy this week, completing the needle books in time for the deadline.

    Happy belated WOYWW,
