Morning Everyone,
I'm joining in again with Annie and the Smilers over at A Stitch In Time to share just a couple of the pics that have put a smile on my face this week.
First up is this one of great-grandaughter Lacie looking very glum after being woken up early to go to the hospital to see the eye specialist. She is a real sleepyhead and can still be asleep well into the middle of the morning!
Next up is this photo of great-grandson Callum looking very grown up. He's had his hair cut and it does make him look less like a baby and more like the toddler he now is. He's also incredibly like his daddy at that age too.
And here's two youngsters you rarely see here. They are DH's great-great niece Freya and great-great nephew Josh who live in the south of England. They're showing us that they'd both received the little Scottish rag doll, with hair the same colour as Freya's, and bagpipe playing teddy we found on our travels. And yes, it does make us feel old to have great-greats but they are such a joy too.
Finally, a photo from the garden of a bee on our cotoneaster tree. The flowers may not look much but the bees find them irresistible and all I hear when I stand under the tree is the busy buzz as they gather the nectar. This tree is absolutely smothered in flowers this year which means there are going to be plenty berries for the birds this coming winter.
As you can see, even though in many ways this has been a difficult week or so I haven't had to look far for things that made me smile this week. I hope you've had as much to make you smile too.
Take care and have a wonderful weekend.
Hi Ellie. We really are blessed to have such gorgeous family members aren't we?...and they certainly help during difficult weeks. I hope your problems are easing and your smiles are multiplying. Sending you big hugs.

Hello Elizabeth what lovely little ones, you certainly can't help but smile at them, so lucky to have Grandchildren, have a good weekend, Kate x
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures of the children. I have my two great grandsons coming over in a week, and one of them has hair the colour of Freya's too.
ReplyDeleteIt was too hot to sit outside this afternoon so I actually watched some day-time TV. that doesn't happen very often. It was a very interesting documentary about the life of honey bees. I learned a lot. I am sure they are grateful for you tree full of blossom, as the birds will be later.

Little children always elicit a smile, whoever they are. Your Little ones are so sweet.
ReplyDeleteGosh Callum has grown so much. I remember when he was born.
Little Lacie looking so sleepy, pòor thing.
Thanks for sharing your smiles,
Have a good week and keep smiling,
Lisca
Hi Elizabeth. Great photographs of the children, even miss sleepy head though I can understand how she feels. Great to see the little bee enjoying itself they are so important more so than most people realise so we need to look after them. Have a great weekend, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth, I think I probably looked like your great granddaughter the other morning. Hope all went well with her appointment. Callum looks very grown-up with his haircut, Freya and Josh look happy with the special presents. Cotoneaster is a noxious weed down under, cut and poison at first sight, but the bees and birds do love those that haven't been hit with roundup. Have a wonderful weekend.. Megan
ReplyDeleteLovely photos just delightful children and your garden always looks fab love and hugs Carole x
ReplyDeleteOh lovely photos Elizabeth - don't those little ones bring so much joy into our lives. Hope this week is getting better for you. xx Jo
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pickies Elizabeth, love your glum and smiley little ones I don't like being woken up either, your cotoneaster are noxious weeds here Die under they grow in wrong places as birds drop seeds and cause issues in our countryside like a lot of other things too. But do like them.
ReplyDeleteHappy smiles day, Shaz in Oz.x
