Another week gone, another Wednesday reached and time to show what's on your desk for our Desk Leader Extraordinary, Julia of Stamping Ground fame, who's a bit surprised WOYWW has reached Week 380. How time flies!
How indeed! And my desk looks as though not much has changed from last week. The bits and bobs are still scattered about. The scissors that were out last week are still there but I have taken the opportunity to sharpen them using that neat little black gadget you can see to the left of the mess. It's a Fiskars scissor sharpener, simple to use - well, it has to be for me -and it works a treat.
That's my collection of coloured card scraps in the straw basket on the left and there's a box of more bits and another of ribbon scraps to the right. The stamp sets on top of the ribbon box are there because it is so long ago since I made the bits and bobs I had to remind myself what was used.
At the back, in front of the tray of tools, are four bottles of Nuvo Crystal Drops and a tube of dew drops. I've had the Crystal Drops for some time so I thought it was time I gave them a whirl. If you are interested in how I got on with them let me know and I'll do a post on them.
I haven't been a total slacker this week. I've managed to make four cards out of the bits and bobs - not an impressive amount of work but better than nothing!
Right, I've waffled more than I intended so I'll stop now - it's time for lunch.
In the meantime, take care and have a great day.
Happy WOYWW
Hi Elizabeth, lots to see on your desk. I've not seen the Nuovo drops used, although I have heard about them, so I'd be interested to see what they do. It may lead to me being enabled, of course! Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #9
ReplyDeleteLots to look at Elizabeth - I've no idea what the Nuvo drops are - but would be interested to see :-) Anne x #17
ReplyDeleteGreat desk...thanks for the tip about the scissor sharpeners. Happy WOYWW. Elaine no. 20
ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth, if you've made four cards you've done better than me for sure! Not sure what the Nuvo drops are. Have a great woyww, Angela x 19
ReplyDeleteMust have been something in the air. I'm see several 'not much has changed from last week' posts - mine included. LOL May the next week find us all busy! Creative Blessings! Kelly #39
ReplyDeleteI would love to see your bits and bobs cards. I've been trying to use as many of mine as I can. How do you like the Crystal drops? I've never used them.

Four cards is good - better than none which is what I've done since I got back!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week

Hello Elizabeth. Oh I have never heard of Nuovo drops before and they sound so interesting and I would love to see and hear more about them.Glad you got a few cards made with those bits and bobs getting used up. I will have to look into a scissor sharpener as I take my DH axe sharpener last time we went camping to my scissors. Have a super fantastic week Hugs ~Anne L#5
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very productive desk to me, not too far off mine, lol. Are you mainly into cards or scrap booking as well? Blessings Hilde
ReplyDeleteI've never thought of sharpening my scissors - I'd better look into that! I tend to get glue on the blades which makes them difficult to use. Thanks so much for your comment on my blog. You were right about the numbers. 500 refers to the number of people who drowned when the Mary Rose sank. It made the exhibition very poignant knowing that so many people lost their lives that day. Have a lovely week! zsuzsa #28
ReplyDeleteA lovely busy looking desk Elizabeth. My hubby bought me one of those scissor sharpeners and it's one of my favourite tools. Barbxx
ReplyDeleteLooks like a well worked desk today x
ReplyDeleteMaking cards out of the bits and bobs is always a good thing. I am always amazed at the size of box my scraps require!!!
