Friday Smiles

Good Afternoon Everyone

It's Friday afternoon and as usual I'm linking up at A Stitch in Time to join in with Annie and her Friday Smiles.

This week it was these this series of photos of my great-niece, Ariahanna, that had smiling this week. All dressed up for a wedding on Monday and looking lovely but just look at these photos her mum sent me. Clearly, posing for the camera is not Arihanna's favourite thing to do!

And now for a couple of photos I've discovered this week that made me smile ...

My daughter brought this simple present wrapping idea to my notice ... no need for name tags with black and white photos of the person for whom the gift is intended!

And finally, if you haven't seen the Sainsbury's Christmas ad, Mog's Christmas Calamity, yet:

As a cat owner/lover, I so enjoyed this ... hope you do too :)

Have a very happy weekend,

  1. Little Ariahanna looks so pretty in her pink dress....I don't blame her not wanting to pose cos I don't like photos either lol. I love the parcel idea and thanks for making me chuckle with the Sainsburys advert....It's not seen it before.
    Have a great weekend.
    Hugs,
    Annie x

  3. Ariahanna looks gorgeous despite the fact that she doesn't seem to be enjoying being photographed...
But I really enjoyed the Sainsbury advert. Not living in the UK, of course I hadn't seen it (we don't have a tv anyway). Delightful. I also watched the 'behind the scenes' bit of film about the authoress of the books, or at least the person who draws Mog in the books.
And I like the fact that it is partly to support child literacy. I agree with the lady that reading for children is soooo important.
I hope there are many more smiles to come your way this week,
    Thanks for visiting,
    Lisca

  4. Doesn't seem a minute since Ariahanna was born and look at that gorgeous little lady now... and a mind of her own too.
1st time I've seen the ad... .so funny and so touching too. Reminded me of all the antics my two late much missed kits got up to.
    Have a great w/end.

  6. What an unusual and pretty name your great niece has. She looks just about as keen to get in front of a camera as my cat does this week! I love the parcel wrapping idea. And I caught the Sainsbuys ad this morning. Brought back many happy memories of reading with my boys, and with the children in my nursery. Thanks for sharing. Kate x

  8. Hi Elizabeth - Arriahanna does look lovely in her pink frock and the photo tag parcel idea is fantastic. The cat ad is a classic, really funny because we know what sticky beaks cats can be. Have a great weekend Robyn
